Help Wii remote with gs2

I now have some games on the gs2 including Lets Golf 2 and I now have the snes and playstation emulator.
It is okay using the on screen controls but far from ideal. I have seen on youtube that android can use the wii remote but I am not sure if the gs2 can use it and out I would need some sort of app to allow it.
Also is it only some games and some emulators?

Cheers guys

Sadly it doesn't work on the SGS2.

There is some software that supports the Wiimote on Android (Wiimote Controller in the marketplace) but for reasons unknown to me, it doesn't work on the SGS2. This is a known issue.

There are controllers that work but they are ones intended specifically for phones such as the Zeemote and Phonejoy.

The WiiRemote apps in the Market don't work for our SGSII because it uses Samsung's bluetooth stack, rather than the stock bluetooth stack. I wouldn't hold hopes of the dev fixing it any time soon either, its been more than a year and no updates have sorted it yet.

Things like the Phonejoy and Zeemote unfortunately only work with a limited selection of titles, the emulators and a few Gamevil titles (Zeemote support is a bit wider, but still pretty poor, and while the Zeemote is more portable, it isn't as good a controller).

thanks guys.

it will be a real shame if one is found/sorted/created soon that works as this phone seems to do EVERYTHING else so i really want that controller going on it :D

Fear not Marc! We are coming to the rescue of stranded Android gamers everywhere who cannot take advantage of the Wiimote on their device.

Our Easymote will not only work on non-rooted phones experiencing the bluetooth issue but, will also be a fully supported device by three of the most handsome geeks you have ever come across.

Good news. If you install Cyanogen, you can connect Wii remote to a Galaxy 2. Was successful last weekend. Bad news is that you give up MHL.... My ultimate dream of hooking my phone up to someone's TV, whipping out a Wii remote, and playing emulator games has fallen short.

Since MHL was more important to me than Wii connectivity, I put the original ROM back in. I plan to closely monitor the ROMs until they have one with Wii Connectivity and MHL support.

Ok I have the sprint version of the S2 the Epic 4g touch and I was able to get a wii mote to sync with it for my super nintendo emulator and Roms. It's pretty fantastic and much more enjoyable than playing with a ps3 controller... At least I like it more. I am running the Calkuins.E4GT.ROM.v2.9.2 with kernel: 2.6.35.7-sph-D710.EL29-CL852097

I accidentally found out you can do this but with the snes9x ex emulator for droid and the sixaxis app installed the "search for wiimote" in the emulator will work. Before I had the sixaxis app installed it would say my device wasn't supported and from everything I've read it was because of the samsung bluetooth stacks. I'm guessing that the app fixes the stacks or finds a backdoor for it to work.
