Will Android 2.0/2.1 improve performance? Eris cant keep up with even novice users.

Seriously, get yourself a life. It's a phone, not a way of life. I should be able to pick it up and have it operate properly. I shouldn't have to sit there and shut down programs so my phone doesn't run like garbage.

If your phone is running that slow maybe its your phone and not Android.

Take it back and exchange it, if its that big of a deal.

I cant beleave that my G1 can run better than any of the new phones out there. The way you guys describe how bad your phones are, makes mine seam like it runs at light speed.

I hear you but I'm not saying that. It WAS running like garbage, battery life was atrocious, and I was not happy with it. The last couple days I've been doing as I described above and all is well. I'm going 8 hours with 40% battery life left and performance is decent. I don't feel that "lag", which btw I think Onion is using the term incorrectly, is a problem for me.
 
I'm interested to see what 2.0 brings to the table, if anything (other than turn by turn nav). So far, it's nothing but speculation.

You're the one who started with the insults. I was trying to lend you advice on how the OS operates, but of course you had to be a douche.
I'm the pathetic one when all you do is bitch and moan about how your phone doesn't run the way YOU want it to.

Seriously, go get a Chocolate Touch. It requires absolutely no brainpower whatsoever to use and it'd be perfect for you.

If it's such a concern for you, then get yourself some spare parts and build your own cell phone and OS. That way the phone can cater to you and only you, oh so demanding user.

Every BB user I know stares in awe when they see my phone perform. They cant do half the stuff I can do or do it even a quarter as fast.

All you have to do is research, Google it or ask. Android shuts down the apps it needs to when it needs to. END OF STORY.

Dude there's no point in trying to reason with him. It's not the perfect little OS for him and he doesn't like it. Yet he's going to keep the phone despite how bad it "lags".

i dont understand why people have to fight on the internet. its ********. this is an informational website for people wanting to know more about andriod phones. why make that difficult? =]
