Help will i get charged if i do this??

Hi all,

the button on the side that you press for a few seconds to get up "Data Network Mode" activated or de-activated to access internet.............if i leave this permanently on as activated, will i be charged or are you only charged if you are actually on websites???
also, will leaving it on affect battery life or not??

All there is is power and volume buttons.

the one on the right side as you look at screen.
when you press it it says power off, flight mode, data network activated.

Flight Mode

Am I missing something?

Depends on your ROM, My menu is: silent mode, flight mode, screenshot, reboot, power off. It depends on what kind of data package you have. As to your question, it should use minimal data if you really aren't doing anything with it.

when you turn off the data network, your just disconnecting yourself from the TMobile Data Network. I dont think this would save much battery life, but you will not get charged if you turn this off, but if you do leave it on... Androids use data in the background to sync causing you to always use data. so if you dont want to pay i suggest you turn it off.

True, especially if you don't really have a data plan... but I've watched mine and it is quite minimal on days when I'm too busy to touch the phone (it happens).

Many processes have access to Cellular Data, not just Internet Browsing. If you don't have a Data plan then you should leave your Cellular Data disabled. Leaving it off will increase your battery life as well.
