Will moto droid x update to 2.3 gingerbread?

Mototrola is end-of-lifeing the DX in march, and will not be updating it after that. That was my understanding anyways. Besides, I doubt if any updates beyond 2.3 will be able to run on the DX anyways. But its all speculation now, nothing official. And no, a 2nd-hand report of what a Verizon tech support rep said does not count as official. Not even a little.

Yea I have no idea where you got your information from, But I work at Verizon, and we have a really cool thing called an Equipment guide and the Droid X is most definitely not not being end-of-lifed my Motorola. So it'd be helpful if you gave correct information and if you didn't know don't guess. That helps no one.

^Not not to be funny, but some key words in his post:

Why should we believe Verizon?

Or just Google it:

Let me google that for you

Never said it was a fact, just something I'd heard. You just glossed over that part. And just because you work at Verizon doesn't mean you know everything that goes on there. I work at Intel, and I certainly don't know everything that's going on there in the background.
