Root will rooting my aria disable unlock

I unlocked my aria to use for another Carrie ...will rooting it delete the unlock code? Has any done this without it messing up

It shouldnt. The only thing that rooting does is gives you superuser permissions. Changes nothing in the software. Now if you flashed a custom ROM, I cant vouch for anything

what are you referring too exactly?

An unlock code allows you to use a SIM card from any carrier in the phone and use their network. Thus if you have an AT&T Aria and you unlock it, you could put a T-Mobile SIM card in it and use on T-Mobile's network for phone calls and EDGE-only data access.

You would also want to unlock your phone if you take it out of the country and want to use a pre-paid SIM while traveling.
