Will the Evo start to lag?

Reason I ask is because the Hero did this. It was great and fast while it was brand new and then over the months it started to slow down...alot. Mine was great up until the 4th month. Then it started majorly lagging on the dialer and it just slowed down for no apparent reason. Will the Evo do the same? Hope not.

Hmm, lets ask some of the guys who've had the EVO 4 months to compare...

wait...

It's brand new, so how could anyone answer that?

If it does then I'd say a factory reset should fix it. Just like reformatting a computer from time to time when it gets clogged with b/s

What is wrong with this forum, it's so emo ever since launch day. Of course a phone will eventually be underpowered.

turn off, pull battery, reboot. fixes a lot of random issues like lagginess. Download spare parts from the market and take a look at battery history to see what is using a lot of resources

i think theres a lot of noobs who never had an android phone. no biggy, theres going to be a few months as we see new adopters go through the learning curve

Well I'm kind of an Android noob, but I did use the N1 for about a week.

I got my evo yesterday and the typing on this forum is horrendous. I actually have to stop and wait for the cursor to catch up with me. It's the only negatuve that ive found but its a pretty serious negative.

No lag at all, yet. I'm typing this from my ECO but I've turned off haptic feedback on the keyboard.

Only if you install a bunch of junk that runs in the background... the device is only as good as you allow it to be. If it slows down, then get rid of stuff that is hogging resources. The alternative is to get an Iphone which lacks the ability to even have widgets and background services...
