Help Will the unlocked HTC Desire HD work in India?

gmail and other sync apps also stores data on ur internal memory, I am using around 650 MB with yeah lots of games and around 150 apps on my DHD....
but thats why we want this high end phone ... to install whatever we can and not worry about out of memory..whts the use of having so fancy hardware and cannot install apps/games which we want....

2.3 will come to DHD for sure

only its screen quality a bit low compared to other phones else no complaints

yeah galasy S2 is good option

ya dude u right DHD has more space for apps
:D:D

only 300MB of ROM is pathetic with android phones , that means free rom for apps installation will be only around 200 MB...I use to have original desire and it had 200 odd MB free, I installed around 20-30 apps and it was all full even with froyo and apps moved to sd

androoid apps even if u move to sd takes significant amount of memory internally hence it should be at least 1.5 GB like in our DHD

in this case samsung is very good, they have 2GB and above

and yeah sony future updates will be pathetic too, their x10 was only 1.6 when whole world moved to 2.2

HTC is the best bet so far and after that samsung

SE specs say that 300 MB will be available to user...may be they are using 512 MB ROM...but still its less ;-)
Heck...even the powerful Xperia playstation phone also has 400MB ROM....one shd buy a 32GB SD card for all the games to store....

By the way any news on Nexus S launch in India...my friend wants to buy one....

go for galaxy s2 thats seems quite impressive piece

I would go for a good honeycomb tablet now and will keep DHD for a while

nook color is available for 200$ if you can get it from abroad
you can easily install stock android on it and voila, android tablet on the cheap.

just updated, within few mins OTA all done this is what is called a wonderfull update

not like bloody samsung updates which never works

well done HTC and yeah phone is snapier now and louder

Is this OTA update android 2.2.1?
or just a maintenance update??
Lous speaker performance improvement is a major welcome...
Try starting the FM radio...shut down FM radio and play any song through the loud speaker and check if the loudness is improved..
many users tell that FM radio is the cause for this audio loudness issue..
Any observations would be great..
Thanks in advance..

what kind of lag are you talking about, i've noticed that that 1.82 is not as smooth as 1.34 but its still pretty smooth.

Before the Desire HD got updated to 2.2.1, there was lag observed when flipping thru screens, flipping thru photos in the gallery and scrolling thru contacts or lists when USB debugging was disabled.
when the USB debugging was enabled this lag issue was fixed.that was not a fix actually but a work around to eliminate lag.

2.2.1 was supposed to fix this.so disable USB debugging and check out if there is lag observed in the above mentioned scenarios..

Thanks.

hey can anybody check and see if the gps is working on stock rom after 1.82 update because mine just keeps blinking and does not lock on, used to work perfectly on 1.34.

Thanks
