Will we get 4.1 or 4.2 when JB is released for bionic?

I know no one knows, but do you think will we get 4.1 or 4.2 when JB is released for bionic?

Google is calling 4.2 JB as well. My hope, since we have a moto phone is that google will skip 4.1 and go straight to 4.2 JB.

I don't think we'll know until any of the JB builds leak. Whatever the Razr series gets will be a great hint, though.

My personal guess is that it will be whatever is the latest. I think Google will want to lead the way so to speak with a phone manufactured by a company they own.

Agreed. This is why I was always confident the Bionic would get JB if the Razr did. All the Razr is is a Bionic with an AMOLED screen and the inability to change the battery, everything else is identical. When they announced that they would give $100 to everyone who's phone could run JB but didn't get it, it would seem they would spend more money giving Bionic owners $100 each than it would cost to port the Razr JB over to the Bionic.

Just to play Devil's Advocate, what exactly in JB 4.2 improves what is already in 4.1? Most of the items on the change list, I believe, are already handled by customized build for those OEMs that have already implemented 4.1. This seems like less of a change than the change from 2.0 (in the OG Droid) to 2.1 (when the Nexus One came out two months later.)

Device upgrades usually take a very long time to get out. Because of that, I'm betting it'll be 4.1.1 or 4.1.2 because that'll already in the pipeline

Is there a reason why the OP wants the later version?

It seems that lots of people call for the NEXT version, but almost never have any solid reason for it.

It says "This is a NON OFFICIAL Jelly Bean leak , not an OTA, not from Verizon" so this doesn't tell us anything.

You're right that it's not confirmation - but it's a cryptographically signed update.zip. My understanding of the Moto bootloader is that it would not install successfully if it was not signed by Motorola.
