Will you buy the Huawei Nexus 6P?

Sorry...

I would never buy anything from Huawei...

leave them to boost mobile, and Walmart's straight talk...

I am very sad that Google went with such a low end company...
I would've loved to have seen Samsung take a crack at a Nexus again...
Have you tried any of Huawei's newer phones like the P8 Lite? The software isn't anything to write home about, but the hardware is quite good.

I'm really excited about Huawei hardware (particularly their lightning-fact fingerprint scanner) combined with Google software. It should be pretty awesome.

I'd really like to come back to Nexus but the AMOLED screen is really giving me second thoughts. I was really hoping they'd go back to LCD.

I had to return my Nexus 6 after only a short week because of burn in. I hear they're using Samsung's latest AMOLED. panel this time around but I still have my doubts.

I'm still deciding whether to go with the 5X or 6P even though a big phone isn't normally up my alley.

Up until now I think Huawei might have only been selling their budget phones in the US. With a Huawei Nexus that's a bit different, and definitely not cheapo.

I have a nexus 6 and absolutely love this phone! Neither one have anything that makes me want to ditch this one! I'm keeping this till something better comes out!

Was checking availability on the Google Store tonight and it shows the Frost 6P as sold out, both the 64 and 128GB versions. The Aluminum and Graphite versions all show they will be shipped in 3-4 weeks, except the 128GB Graphite, which is 4-5 weeks.

Never expected that the Frost would be the first of the colors to sell out.

Even though my Nexus 6 is still good I ordered the 6P 32gb. I'm thinking of canceling and ordering a 64gb instead.

Thinking about it... How do you all do withe the bigger size phone? I though the N5 was big enough.

This is a concern I have, even if a mild one. I actually felt the Nexus 5 was bigger than I wanted. OTOH, I'm old enough that I really like the idea of the 5.7" screen. I'm sure it will be an adjustment but expect I'll adapt quickly enough.

I've had a Note 3 for a couple years now. I thought it would be too big for my pocket, but it fits ok, and I love the extra screen space. I've found I don't need or use the stylus, not a big fan of the Samsung specific software.

I have been using the Nexus 6 for almost a year now. Got used to the size very quickly. Can you say screen? Does everything a smaller phone does but looks awesome. Had a Note 3 so was ready for the size I guess. I have no idea what size pockets people have but I am a "normal" sized human and the Nexus 6 fits in all my pants pockets and shirt pockets!!!

Probably. I will wait a few months after the release to make sure any bugs are worked out. Also, I want to wait on reports of battery life.

The other option is to buy last years N6 for $349. It will get the Marshmallow update and should give at least one year of service. Roughly half price from it's release date. That's if the N6P has problems.

after using nexus phones since Galaxy Nexus im thinking about visiting apple store. Android is getting bigger and bigger. I was hoping N5X would look a bit more premium but it looks like a super budget phone. All though i has everything a flagship has but it is still not attractive at all.

Yes. I have one on order. I have a Moto X Pure, but I am unhappy with the LCD display and a few other things and the Nexus 6P fills the bill on all areas. They have virtually sold out, so it looks like a pretty promising release.

Have one on order, think it will be a sweet device.
If it will replace my daily driver I use right now (MotoX Style) I guess I will know later on.
But so far I have use g4,s6Edge,Edge+,1+2 and z5..and still like my Moto best with it's "pure" Android so guess I will like the N6p when I get it. :)

No, I'll wait for next Motorola flagship. Not this last one but next. I love Motorola design and build quality is nearly perfect. Best what Motorola does is antennas. Perfect coverage everywere.

Same here. Love my Nexus 6. I haven't even had it for a year yet. 6P looks great but I'll wait for the 2016 Nexus 6.

Anyone else concerned about burn-in with the 6P?

I've been looking forward to getting a 6P, but I'm delaying my order now because potential burn-in. This reviewer experienced image retention after just one week of use, and lots of people on forums have said that they've had burn-in with their AMOLED Nexus 6s. It's really unfortunate.

I know there are ways to minimize the impact, such as low screen brightness, and ways to try and fix it, such as this app, but it's still a problem I'd really rather not have to be concerned about when buying such a high-quality phone in 2015.

It looks awesome, I think I'll reverse my previous position that I would never buy a Huawei nexus.

I still think it's unlikely that I will buy this one, not because of the quality, but because I've only had my 6 for a few months, so I'm almost 2 years off from justifying a new phone.

Also, if you're on T-Mobile like I am, you should make sure you are not in an area that relies on Band 12...as this phone does not support the frequency. Real sad to see Google turn their backs on T-Mobile, who has arguably been their best Nexus partner among the carriers.

This is a reality with any amoled screen. I'm coming from the nexus 6, and I don't notice any burn- in unless I specifically set the phone up in a way to test for it. It bothers some, but knowing I don't see it unless I jump through hoops to look for it, I'm not worried.

The good news is Google has the best warranty support in the game. If theres a problem, theyll provide a one day shipping replacement - free of charge.
