I only got Photoshop through chance, lol. If you're still looking for help making wallpapers, I would love to. I'm not very good though, but I can at least do some of the simpler tasks :P

Sure, it's always nice to see a different take on some of these requests. If you see one you think you can do a nice job on, just post here that you're doing it so that more than one person isn't doing the same thing. That's how I got started doing this - picking up some slack in someone else's thread, and looking back on the earlier ones I did, I certainly think I've learned a thing or two...

Just be aware, that the requests have really slowed down lately (I curse those DAMN live wallpapers!!! :D:p;)), so the pickin's may be slim.
 
damn your starting to nag me like my other half.....dammit woman your smothering me!! :p :D

haha....anyway, I will probably ask for some soon....I'm running the windows 7 look again and currently just a plain black background behind the tiles.....THOUGH I do have the Android/Freddy screen as my lockscreen :D

Could you combine these 2, please:

If possible, could you add more lighting bolts all around the background and make it seem as if they're coming from the aircraft?

Hey Sak -

Sure, I think I can do that (although we'll see how well I can make the lightning look like it's coming from the plane...).

One thing - Do you want it sized at 960x800 for your phone, or the desktop size it is now? Get back to me and I should get it done sometime tomorrow.
 
Sorry for the late reply. 960x800 please. It doesn't have to come from the plane but if you could do some kind of lightning effect to make it look dramatic.

Eyebeam, again many thanks for your great work! Ive been spreading the word too, about you. I am just now getting some time to play with my home screens. I have a 5" display and trying to get the car to fit sort of to the lower right but not cut off.

My lock screen (fig 1) centers ok... But notice when I go to some of my home screens, my device "magnifies" the pic. Ive cropped it with apps on the phone, but cropping zooms in further when I wanna "zoom out".

I am still compiling some black transparent background icons to use, so, this is still a work in progress.

Heres some sample screens. Forgive the fuzziness.. Working from a nonrooted device. I have a second rooted streak too.[Hide]

So, you're saying you'd like the car and logo smaller, so that both fit entirely on the center screen in landscape view?

Let's do this - Download this template - Same deal to save full size - ↓

And take a screen shot of your center screen in landscape. Then, tell me as close as you can how many lines from center you'd like the edges of the car and logo to be.

Excellent method, Eyebeam! Ok,after downloading and selecting the template as a wallpaper;withoutresizing or cropping this is what seems to be the position:

Bottom: one line below the circle
Left : two lines left of the circle
Top : four lines above the circle
Right : six lines right of the circle (where burgundy ends)


I know this seems small, but on the 5" screen, it zooms or magnifiez once loaded

Heres a lower-right corner snapshot.

PRECICELY!!!! It its exactly where I needed it to land! The template method was a great suggestion!! Will take screenshots after i gather some more icons!

ill save it on my puter when I get home and transfer it. Could ya resize it for the captivate, for me eyebeam?

I was just going to post that you should check the resolution, but I see that you just did. Good eye!

It's current size of 960x800 should be perfect for your Captivate. Let me know if you need me to post it in full resolution in this thread.
 
ok eyebeam....this is a biiiiiig one...well probably not if you still have the templates from the early 'andy' theme..

Its going to be quite a complex one...i.e a wallpaper with embedded dock and spot for clock but possibly spots for icons too with stuff all going on about the screen....

I will post more details later, really need to get on with some novel writing..been procrastinating a little too much...best sellers (ha! in my dreams) don't write themselves.
 
I'm going to post another method to get the wallpapers from here onto your phone. This is the way I do it when I find any wallpaper on the computer and I want on my phone.

I use the application Remote Web Desktop. Download it, put in a port (can be any number, I have a 4 digit number) and a password. Don't check any of the boxes. Hit start server and go to the URL it tells you to go to, type in the password you typed on your phone and bam! Basically a mini-desktop for your phone. Click on "wallpaper" and either put in a URL or select a picture saved onto you computer and click set for phone. You can also use it to read/send text messages, activate the camera and see what it sees on your computer and some other goodies. Rooted access gives even more goodies.
 
Yep, that's dramatic enough. Nice touch with the glow and the lightning coming off the plane. I wasn't sure how you'd pull it off.

actually eyebeam...I think I'll leave posting my idea till tomorrow properly...I'm still writing and getting very tired as well lol

seriously can never just do things in the day...bloody typical that is, all my writing seems to come to me a few hours before sleep haha...

but yea...the idea needs me to also set out a template on my phone of a setup as well...saying that..do you have one of those template wallpaper screens for me to position things so its easier for you when I produce my idea? its for a HTC Desire..
