Root Wimax binaries on the TU?

Ok so i asked about this in another thread but can anyone tell me why they included the wimax binaries on this device if its not compatable???

Files are

Wimax_boot.bin used to boot the radio?
Wimaxfw.bin firmware???
Wimaxloader.bin loads it all up???

All of these are found in the system/etc folder...

I would really like to know what this is for! I think the capability is there... we just have to "unlock" it!
 
Your right, our phones are capable of running it but we still cant unlock it. Only boost has the authority to do so. No matter how much we "hack" it 4g will never run on the ultra, its up to boost to decide which will never happen btw.
 
So I called Boost on this all they could tell me that other carriers use this phone and blah fking blah... Anyways... It would be of no use to me anyways considering sprint doesn't even have 4g here in Indiana... :mad:

I might be considering a contract phone, but I dunno with the rates that they want to charge for going over 2.5 GB... $0.45 for every KB over that?!?!?! Are you kidding me??? Sounds like rape to me!

Anyways... I am still trying to get my 3g speeds to be better than .03 Mb during the day and after 1am until 6 or 7am it gets like 2.5 Mb... I don't get it... Would like to change my prl to sprint to try n get better towers... Dunno tho... Any advice would be appreciated!

Download a data usage app and it will show you how much gig you use over wifi and 3g. I cant even get over 1 gig of data on wifi and TRUST ME i browser the web a lllloooottt. 2.5 gig would be more than enough for me. Go with sprint, their coverage kinda suck but they are truely unlimited and affordable.

I second tha! As long as it's more profitable to sell a new phone to us vs upgrading one that we already paid for you can forget any special treatment,
 
Ok i changed my prl to sprint 60685 newest one and guess what... i get about .5 Mb during the day now... not much of an improvement but it did help! I suggest everyone check into this... u dont need cdma workshop theres another prog out there that will do it and u can use the demo as much as u want... Found this in the ZTE WARP section... great tut for changing prl... If i wasnt using my phone i would link it...
 
If ur referring to the prl change ive already done it... not much of a viable difference... changed to 4gv vocoder and got a small increase... dunno... im on stock rom right now... might flash another one later on... what do u recommend???
 
Well after posting those awesome 2mb speed I've been back to the crappy @$$ 500ms Ping with less than 50k speeds. WTF Sprint. Why can't you atleast give us a steady 300k, that's tons better than nothing.
