Root Wimax log

i see , so its a AOSP & AOKP problem, stock based roms like Harmonia, Mobster Roms and Unlocked Potential are free of this issue ?

Sense ROM's don't generate those WiMax 4G logs. They first appeared on agrabren's CM10 Disarmed Toaster ROM and have been part of every AOSP based ROM that supports 4G since then.

Last time I flashed that fix it wiped my apps . Almost like a factory reset. It worked. But just a little weird

You can look at the updater-script in the zip file and the only thing it touches is the /data/wimax/log directory. I don't think there's any way that could have affected your apps so something else must have caused the problem.

Perhaps you wiped the data partition by accident? Many people have used that zip file on different AOSP ROM's and that's the first time I've heard a comment like that.

Flash this zip file from recovery every time you do a clean install of an AOSP based ROM. It deletes and recreates the /data/wimax/log directory and then sets the immutable attribute on so no more logs can be written to that directory.

I'm currently using Wild for the Night as I just completed S-Off and my 4G isn't working. I came from Midnight ROM Senseless, did a full wipe. If I flashed this would my 4G work again?

It will turn on, say connecting, but then turn off again...

I don't have 4G so I don't really follow that very much but I've heard of people having to use a 4g toggle widget to turn on 4g. Not sure if this applies in your case but maybe worth a try.

Phreak usually if theres not a 4g signal then it will try and connect and then disconnect so that just may be the only issue

I flashed this file and it did deleted the log. But every 30 minutes, the connection will be discontinued and I have to reboot the phone to make it work again. Is this possibly because of the log? I'll do a reinstall of the ROM and test it again.

Any ideas? Thanks.

I doubt that's the problem with 4G turning off but if you want to try it I've attached a zip file that will enable the directory for logging. If you want to see the log files they are in the /data/wimax/log directory, but I'd recommend flashing the original zip file again if that doesn't fix your problem.

Hey, this link doesn't work anymore. Anyone have a copy or new link for it?
