Root [WIP] CyanogenMod V6.1.1 for Ascend 0.0.1 Alpha released

Hi,

I'm the guy who compiled this rom, based on isaacj's work. Like he stated he has moved on to other bigger and better things. I have purchased a Optimus V also and will be using it as my main phone, it IS that much better. heh...

As far as the Ascend I still have, it will be without service but I do plan on updating the CM6 for now. I have a prepaid android wiki, for accuracies and quality over quantity, at Main Page - Prepaid Android. There you can find my development on further stomping out the bugs in this build of CM6 for the Ascend.

I had to do a nasty hack to fix that issue and I don't think it made it into this ROM.

It says it "can't establish a reliable data connection to the server. this could be a temporary problem or your phone may not be provisioned for data services. if it continues, call customer care."

that blows because it means i can't keep running cyanogen 6.1 (thank you btw), it rocks! its so fast and internet browsing and video watching (so far) has been the best i've seen! :D
 
Thank you pip2kk for Everything I put the Latest CM6 on my phone and could not get the USB mounting to work it. I will wait till more Bugs are out of it You are Awesome for working on this for Everyone

thanks for giving me no information at all. useless.

usb mounting works for the other people that have tried it. if your having problems you probably didnt wipe everything when you flashed it. other then that i couldnt begin to guess. you gave me no information!
 
I am Very Sorry About that I am Still Kinda Of New at This I Did Wipe everything on it and it loaded Great. When I hooked it up into my Computer and tried to mount it all it did on my phone was look like it was searching and did not come up on my computer I might have missed a Step im sorry and Again Thank you

flash this again just a few minutes ago to test it out again for bugs...now i have this: can't establish a reliable data connection to the server. this could be a temporary problem or your phone may not be provisioned for data services. if it continues, call customer care.

Did you flash the newest version, 0.05c? I had the "reliable data" statement on 0.05b but when i flashed 0.05c it worked. Also there is an updated gapps on the prepaidandroid site, so you can have the new market.

Cant we just update the market? or is it not being pushed out yet?
 
As far as people having issues WIPE and FLASH the newest version from my wiki @ prepaidandroid.org

The latest gapps is linked there also.
