Wipe before stock?

Should one wipe before going to a stock ROM using Odin?

When I tried to switch to ICS the other day, I had to do it twice because the first time I did it, though I got the green pass, it went into a bootloop.

Just wondering if I could have prevented that.

Hi CrackBaby. I've done both ways, wiped and not, but don't remember having a bootloop. It happens sometimes. I'm sure it doesn't hurt, and would probably help, to wipe first. If you do, just remember to power off from the recovery menu after you wipe and then go to Odin download mode since you won't have an OS anymore. If using CWM, run the Darkside wipes.
