I'm really hoping that someone can help me out with this problem as it's been driving me up the wall. Back in August, I picked up the Bose Mobile In-Ear headphones that have the "Answer/Play/Pause" button situated as part of the cord to use with my Evo. For almost three months, they worked fine. I could have them plugged in and start/pause any queued up music, at will, as well as answer incoming calls, at any point, just by hitting that button. Then, in around the middle of November, that button just stopped working. At first, I thought that, maybe, something was wrong with the headphones, so, I returned them to Bose to exchange them for a new set since they were still well within the original warranty. When I tried out the new pair, however, much to my disappointment, I was still having the same problem; the button on this set didn't work, either. So, at this point, I'm pretty sure that it's not (or may not have ever been) the headphones nor is it compatibility with any particular music player as I've tried several (the stock HTC player, 3 (Cube), Mixzing (my standard, right now), WinAmp and PowerAmp) and was still unsuccessful. This, then, leaves me with the belief that the culprit is some sort of incompatibility in the OS, itself. It really sucks that I have this great set of headphones that did a job perfectly well until...they just didn't anymore. If anyone has experienced this problem (or something relatively similar), any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. By the way, my Evo is not rooted and is using Froyo. Sorry for the long post and thanks.
