Netfilter is for "Access Control". In other words, for securing your network by denying access unless a client's MAC address is authorized. Motorola disabled netfilter in the kernel(for those who rolled back to 2.0.5 to get back access control, IT DOESN'T WORK!!! PERIOD!!! LOL).

This is however, a non-issue. Wireless Tether for Root users, as of 2.0.6 Officially supports AP/Infrastructure mode, with WPA2 encryption, making your tethering more secure than ever. Just setup a good password.

does anyone have a link for the hot spot

There is no point in patching and using the 3G Mobile Hotspot. Wireless Tether uses Hostapd, like 3GMHS does, without all of the ******edness like:

1. Hotspot shuts down if no client connects in 10 minutes
2. Hotspot shuts down is 3G connection lost
3. Hotspot shuts down for seemingly no reason.
4. Switching your connection to the DUN, with a 2GB quota(people have patched, while actually having the tethering service.. oops... One guy racked up $160 worth of data overages in one day!!! I'd be pissed!!!)

The list could go on, besides....

PATCHING IS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO 2010... ;)
