that and i think he's wrong about the wireless charging. at the 5:40 mark
That's a deal breaker for me!WOw! Funny it looked smaller in that video. I was prepared for it to be much thicker looking. I would still have gotten it but that was a pleasant surprise.
) the DInc over the Thunderbolt, which surprised me since the screen is 4.3"That is an included wireless charging cover. Another nice + for this phone and it's included; not sold separately for another $30.
Removed my post.

Has that been confirmed? Some people at the Thunderbolt forums think it's HTC trying to get better GPS tracking or better signal due to that being a sore subject for us Thunderbolt owners.
Don't worry I quoted you so we can poke fun at you later!![]()

I agree with all whom says it looks thinner in that video. That is a huge Plus in my book.
Lmaooo....it is a lil thinner Voltron.
The one thing im wondering is real world battery usage on this beast?

Well we obviously wont know till people have had it a while. Even then it will be a whole bunch of "i haven't stopped playing with my phone for hours and it died in 5 hours "![]()
that is why i'm thinking as soon as its possible to
underclock and undervolt
underclock to 1.2ghz still gives you plenty of horsepower and you will save battery. Also i see no point in leaving 4G on all the time unless your doing something majorly data intensive.
Also i see no point in leaving 4G on all the time unless your doing something majorly data intensive.
So your 100% getting it?
I still don't see how having 4G on is a drain on battery. I've always maintained that leaving 4G on, as long as I'm in a decent 4G area where it's not bouncing around, I don't notice any difference in battery consumption leaving it idle in 4G vs 3G. I do notice it when I'm in the middle of a heavy download but then again the phone has more data to process. Where I think people will see the most consumption when in 4G is if they're in an area where 4G isn't so great and they bounce around into 3G and then back into 4G. I think if you leave it in 4G and you have a good constant 4G signal, it's not going to matter too much if the 4G radio is on.
As a matter of fact, back in the Summer when Verizon had 4G outages, those of us that had 4G phones were also screwed because we lost 3G. No one that had a 3G only device had any issues with their phone but if you had a 4G device, hello 1X. It really sucked. "Hey is that a new Thunderbolt? I heard it's fast"..."Not today it's not!" So I can't help wonder exactly how much if anything you'll save by switching off 4G. I'm sure you'll save a lot if you're not in a 4G rich area, otherwise I think it's like that old myth that says you should pump gas when it's cool outside and not hot, or if we all don't buy gas on a particular day, it'll make gas companies hurt.
i'm about 90% sure i am. I still would like to wait on real world user reviews for each device. It's really down to the G Nex or the ReZound for me. But leaning more toward the ReZound.
my town has 4G but how good where i'm always at i don't know. But i get what your saying.
I equate it to having a Toyota Prius vs a Camaro SS/Mustang 302....Sure the Prius gets better gas mileage, but so does riding a bike.Between you and me I think it's the fanboy-ism of iPhone haters. "Oh your battery life is better because your little phone doesn't have to wield all this 4G awesomeness!" I just hate on the iPhone in my terms, "Oh that's a great looking iPhone, what does the word "buffering" mean?"I equate it to having a Toyota Prius vs a Camaro SS/Mustang 302....Sure the Prius gets better gas mileage, but so does riding a bike.
My DH has a 2010 Dodge Challenger R/T...and he wants an iphone. I don't get that! LOL

I sorta get it. Most car manufacturers drum up the "iPod compatible" angle and if a car has it set up correctly, docking your iPhone/iPod etc does look a little slick in some cars. I've always thought that a stereo manufacturer should try to partner with a company like Seidio and create a stereo head unit that has different face plate adapters (made by Seidio of course) that lets you slap in your smart phone so you can use its GPS features, MP3 features, hands free phone features, and radar-detector/warning system.
Oh and your DH should've bought the SRT-8![]()
