wirefly?

I hear that the card is a uccid card, is that right? And I just want to be absolutely sure, it comes with the phone, battery, charger, and the card for 4g right?

Phone comes fully ready to activate. Just call or go metropcs.com to activate phone.

No need to drive to corporate store to activate.

For New York customers, seems like both Wirefly and Newegg are charging tax. (but no rebate hassles)

Just a heads up.

Quick question before I place my order... if I am porting an existing number can I still activate over the phone?

Thanks in advance,
The Flow

Basically u can do anything by calling them (activation/ switch phone or number..etc..etc..it is free). If u porting from metropcs, 100% will be okay but others is up to the phone provider.

For porting your number from another carrier you will have to do it in person on a Metro Corporate office.

Depends on your location and depends on when you ordered it.
It also depends on if your location does sat deliveries from fed ex.

I can tell you from my experience that for my Florida location that if you don't have your order in by early Wednesday for the 2 day delivery you will not get it in 2 days. You will end up getting it Tuesday or early Wednesday following week.

If the estimated delivery hasn't change by Tuesday then most likely it will be as originally estimated.

I had the estimated delivery say on mine say delivery was on a sat after ordering it on late Wednesday because i used the 2day delivery but then est delivery changed, I felt so let down. I felt like a little kid waiting on Christmas and it felt like i was waiting like month.I survived and i am thrilled with this phone.

has anyone successfully purchased the lg esteem from wirefly? i just placed an order on wirefly last night, but haven't found one person that said they bought it off their site and has successfully received it.. so i'm starting to freak out a bit lol so if anyone has please let me know.. thanks

I placed my order for the Esteem on the 12th and received it on the 14th. Great phone so far!

My replacement Esteem came in today from Wirefly (I did 2 day shipping but it ended up taking 3 days), and just wanted to mention that the idiots at Wirefly installed the LTE/SIM card incorrectly. I had thought it was kind of weird that when I opened the back of the phone to insert the battery that I saw "DO NOT REMOVE CARD" written on the sim card area, cause that was something I never saw before on my stolen Esteem but I was thinking maybe this was some new protection deal they were putting on the sim cards on newer Esteems so I ignored it. Then I turned on the new phone and was greeted with a wonderful "Please insert Metro PCS SIM card" warning and the phone wouldn't let me dial out to activate or anything.

After half an hour of pulling the card in and out and thinking that Wirefly had sent me a screwed up phone, I finally realized that they had put the card in upside down. When you look at the sim card area on the back of the phone, the visible part in the sim card area (bottom of the card) is supposed to have numbers...not the "DO NOT REMOVE CARD" writing. After taking it out and putting it the correct way, the phone finally worked properly and I was able to activate it. For having to go through that stress and frustration, I called and complained to Wirefly and now they're sending me some Bluetooth headset as inconvenience compensation...which I'll throw on eBay right away since I already have one. Hopefully it's not some cheap pos but I bet that's exactly what they're sending me....

So yeah...if you turn on your new Esteem that you ordered from wirefly and it gives you the sim card warning...chances are they put yours in wrong and you'll have to fix their screw up and then call and complain.

I can vouche that too. They install the sim incorrectly. I just received my phone yesterday. (Two day shipping). ALso if anyone is wondering. If you order from Wirefly you can activate the esteem with metro's insurance aka MetroGuard

I am sorry to hear that you had this experience. PM me your order number, so I can have your order reviewed by our customer service manager. It seems odd that this happened and I want to make sure it doesn't happen going forward. Thanks!

same thing happened to me. i ordered mines on the first it was shipped the next day, i paid for 2 day air and about five days or so i got it. i totally felt let down i felt like they took the 8 bucks and just fudged me over but people kept telling me it's because of the "hoildays". i don't think that was the case here ordering between turkey day, black friday and then xmas. things should've gone back to nomral i would think. XD anywho meh

Just a word of suggestion, its not a good idea to give out any information especially on a forum. No offense to you Wirefly but no one truly knows who you are or if you truly are associated with Wirefly.com

I just called a MetroPCS 'authorized dealer' and asked about porting my number. She said I needed the account number and the PIN for the account.

I said fine, how much will that be? She said she doesn't know hold on. I overheard her ask and another woman responded 'It costs $10, tell him $20' and she got back and told me '$20'.

Is this what I have to look forward to dealing with MetroPCS?
