My replacement Esteem came in today from Wirefly (I did 2 day shipping but it ended up taking 3 days), and just wanted to mention that the idiots at Wirefly installed the LTE/SIM card incorrectly. I had thought it was kind of weird that when I opened the back of the phone to insert the battery that I saw "DO NOT REMOVE CARD" written on the sim card area, cause that was something I never saw before on my stolen Esteem but I was thinking maybe this was some new protection deal they were putting on the sim cards on newer Esteems so I ignored it. Then I turned on the new phone and was greeted with a wonderful "Please insert Metro PCS SIM card" warning and the phone wouldn't let me dial out to activate or anything.
After half an hour of pulling the card in and out and thinking that Wirefly had sent me a screwed up phone, I finally realized that they had put the card in upside down. When you look at the sim card area on the back of the phone, the visible part in the sim card area (bottom of the card) is supposed to have numbers...not the "DO NOT REMOVE CARD" writing. After taking it out and putting it the correct way, the phone finally worked properly and I was able to activate it. For having to go through that stress and frustration, I called and complained to Wirefly and now they're sending me some Bluetooth headset as inconvenience compensation...which I'll throw on eBay right away since I already have one. Hopefully it's not some cheap pos but I bet that's exactly what they're sending me....
So yeah...if you turn on your new Esteem that you ordered from wirefly and it gives you the sim card warning...chances are they put yours in wrong and you'll have to fix their screw up and then call and complain.
