Root wireless tether DATA USAGE

I disagree, there is a moral issue. You have signed up for a service and said you will abide with these terms as well as pay your bill, in exchange they will provide the service you have requested. You have a moral obligation to abide by the contract you signed regardless if VZW will catch you or not.

When someone is just using the tether for a small portion of their data use i.e. in a pinch once or twice a month then I can see why they are not adding it to the contract but when someone is obviously abusing something like this it is a moral issue and speaks loudly for their moral character.

It is just like a mortgage. For some reason people act like you have some sort of moral obligation to pay your mortgage. You do not. But, you do have to understand the consequences of not paying (foreclosure, credit reporting). You did not agree to pay your mortgage, you agreed to accept the consequences if you did not. Subtle difference, but there it is. There are cases of people so upside down on there mortgage that they are better off walking away from the house, so they do. They are not breaking the contract of the mortgage--the contract includes provisions for non-payment, so you are not outside of the boundaries of the contract. The bank forecloses on the house and does what it can legally to collect on the debt. "Breaking" a contract does not mean you did something wrong, it means you have moved out of the primary provisions of the contract.

Lets try to stay OT. The OP asked a question and it was answered. We've all said our piece about whether we think it's right or wrong. He didn't ask for our opinion on whether it was right or wrong.

now heres where your wrong, if its your moral stand point to follow the agreements of your contract then that pinch or so you should not agree with, either u follow the rules or you dont, no middle ground, that pinch user broke the contract just as i have. killing a dog is just as illegal as killing a cat.

I can understand someone using it in a pinch and won't look down on them, I still think it is the wrong thing to do but they aren't abusing the system just because they can as you are. Now if I needed to use it I would add it to my plan and not think anything else about it. I am done with this thread if you wish to continue discussing this with me pm me otherwise you have my opinion and can do as you wish with it.
