Help Word capitalization --> "I"

So when I'm typing, the X never capitalizes the word "I".
Any application/setting to fix this?

Overall, the auto-correct is much better than the Droid, except the "I" is killing me already!

Thanks :rolleyes:

Yeah, I've found that to be annoying too. I just saved the the word 'I' in my user dictionary. Long press on the I in the suggested words box and it'll save there. I always have to do this with mine and my wife's names anyway.

Are you using swype? If so what you do is when you click "I" then drag your finger upward and it will capitalize it

I've become used to just pressing Shift + I. It's now second nature to me. I absolutely love having the larger screen. It makes my typing like 5x more accurate than with my Inc. What saved me with the Inc was that the HTC spell check was very, very well done. Accuracy before it was not good.

The lack of automatic "I" capitalization is bugging me and so is the lack of good word contractions like you're and I'd. I'll get used to it though.

You can add them all to the dictionary and it'll remember next time.

Does it automatically contract them for you? It did on the Eris and I really liked that feature.

Thanks everyone. I like Better Keyboard. Like the default keyboard, the space bar seems a little small. I keep hitting the period instead of space!
Maybe it's because I have short fingers. Which also makes entering text hard because holding the phone is a bit awkward. I hope I get used it it...and quickly!

Buy smart keyboard pro. It has a huge space bar and I like it waaayy more then the stock multi touch keyboard. Plus you can set it up exactly like the iPhone with the same key clicks and all. Its awesome!
