Help Working flashlight APP (camera LED) in progress!!

I made a site for the app. It's very basic but will have the apk. available for download when it's time.

Speaking of, it is nearly time. I just added in an authorization system so I can control who tests it. It will not function without authorization and will require internet access on the phone to validate after opening the app. (intended for BETA use only). It does store the last name entered so it's 2 clicks to get it to work after first use(auth button, and on button).

TODO: Add disclaimer, Add LED off on close using back button. I need the app to stay running during the on phase so it can properly turn off the LED.

Any other devs. out there got a good template disclaimer? I need to protect myself here.

Furthermore: If I give you a username to test this app. and any damages occur to the camera LED, it's lifespan, or the phone, etc., I am not responsible. There has been no testing on the short or long term effects of a camera application on the ZTE Warp or any other device it is run on.

Cool Idea but ZTE Warp has a flashlight glitch.

Open up camera, turn on flash, take a picture but hit the home screen when the camera square on the screen goes green and the flash will stay on... hit power once to turn off...

Now I am looking for a non-rooted tester with similiar community contribution as ApolloStar2109. PM me if you want to test this app and so I can check you out and ask a few questions!
 
ApolloStar2109 does this app effect your camera in any way. i have not installed it i was just wondering.

Blackbolt22 thank you very much for taking the time to make this app. Also, thanks for not getting up set with my lack of patients. i felt like a 5 year old on x-mas waiting to open presents when i first read this post.

No i had it on for quite a while a no change in My LED so i can confirm it is safe

My apologies If the site or thread isn't clear. I thought by adding "camera led" that would help. I have a picture down the thread, a few posts down, attached which shows it working and lighting up my hand..

Can you clarify this question about the app affecting the camera?
 
Okay so here is my full report on this app
Downloaded on mobile browser installed the app upon opening the app the disclaimer popped up stating what disclaimer state :D such as Blackbolt22 will not be held responsible for any damages and such so i accepted the terms entered my username and testes the camera at 1 minute interval worked like a charm closed the app and reopened to make sure my username was saved and it was :D tested at 2 minute interval worked perfectly closed reopened same thing username was saved 3 minute interval worked fine at this point any damage would become clear as my LED would start to burn out and it was still bright as it was before i tested so that cleared up i tested at 4 minutes same thing worked perfectly then i tested at 5 no problems what so ever and no damages
Thanks Blackbolt22 for this app keep up the good work some of us are excited about this dont let anyone deter you from this :D
 
Is this still a closed beta? I am very eager to use this, as i am an electrician and ironically i work in the dark often. Please let me know if you could use me as a tester. I am rooted however and on Unitology 3.5.

i cant. sorry. not trying to be difficult. i was just wondering if it effected the camera app at all. just a general question. i have the stock rom (rooted) and when i try to remove some apps it always effects the camera. i have no access to test it and i was curious. i am very excited about it :D
 
Seriously guys... I've had to delete TWENTY FIVE posts because people misunderstand one another and feel the need to bash on someone who sees things differently.

Treating a user the way that some of you have is embarrassing! The forum is a business for the owner. He has certain rules in place. One of those is to treat others respectfully. It's really not that hard.

I'll make this CLEAR. Post respectfully to one another and drop the attitudes and hatred toward other user(s) or find a different forum to post on. THIS GOES FOR EVERYONE.


OP - Sorry to interrupt your thread. It looks like this could be useful for quite a few other users.

I will select someone who private messages me requesting to BETA test and who does NOT have their phone rooted.

I already have a rooted tester and he was absolutely perfect in testing and reporting back!!

That being said I will select based on:

Knowledge of non-market apk installs
Non-rooted phone
Community contribution (as in these forums!)
Intelligence Quotient (j/k, but kinda srs. :P )

Looking for someone who can basically provide good feedback, use the app. alot, but most importantly download->install->authorize without me virtually holding their hand to do it ;)

If you think you fit this criteria please message me. I have a few messages already but most are from rooted users.
