Root [WORKING]~*how to root micromax a75 *~

Hi there! Before anything, thanks for this wonderful work. It is indeed commendable. Coming to my issue, I have done everything as specified. Updated the system.img and followed the steps carefully.

At the end of the process, it shows everything as successful, with the final page showing "Download OK" and my screens matches the video 1:1

The problem? My phone is not rooted! Tried it 3 times last night, only thing that changed was that my micromax's android version was updated, from 2.3.x to 2.3.4. Either that, or I just got the updated Micromox ROM.

But root? Nope! The superuser app was not installed upon reboot, and rootchecker confirmed that my phone was still unrooted. Any clues please?

Ya that may have been a problem ;)
I know while updating my website i mistakenly added the old one link for a few minutes ... you may have been one of those un lucky person :o

Really sorry for the inconvenience ...
plz download it again .... :o
also, I would really recommend you to use UB-1 ROM :)
It has root + mods for better performance + Battery life ;)

Thanks for such a quick response! Much appreciated. So do I download the file from the same link? The one given on the google site: https://sites.google.com/site/ultimatebrainguide/micromax-a75/rooting

Or is there a separate link for it.

And thank you so much for the ROM tip. However, I am afraid I will need a little more tip on that. How do I specifically choose a particular ROM? Which steps in the given method changes and how? Or are there some separate steps that I need to do?

Really sorry for sounding so confused. Not really an expert on the embedded devices scene!

I am really thankful to you for this great piece of work. Even for a layman like me; when it comes to IT; it has been a cake walk to root my Micromax A75. I can see a remarkable improvement in the performance of my device by removing the lackluster apps like quickr, whatsapp etc... bundled in by Micromax (must be for a commercial reason that Micromax receives royalty from those App developers). Since then, I have been enjoying my device installing a lot of Apps and trying them. The device responds very well and the sluggishness that I was experience with stock image is no more there. After rooting, I faced problem with only one App, 'Lightning launcher'. When I tried changing the preference settings in the App, my phone got into a loop of 'Foreclose'. I had to go through the process of rooting my phone again flashing your image and this time it was in few minutes. I had backed up all my favourite Apps and user Data in Titanium and could restore them with resaonable effort and time.
May sound silly to you, can we not get rid of stock phone, call log, messaging.... to free up more resource? I am eager to see more of such excellent works from you.

Hey ninad plz help to uninstall the pre loaded app on my a75.
I have rooted my A-75 as per your guidence with root4.
but i am not getting what to do next?
what to do for that plz help me..............................
 
I have rooted my a75 by using the ninad made method,after root the wifi didn't work.Then i tried the wifi fix method of ninad when i started that it freezes at a point for hours hours.......Then i used static ip it worked i used the wifi for couple of days and now wifi stays connected with the router but i couldn't use the internet. sad:(
Anyone can help me here????

Anyone could provide me the stock image of a75?????

just now tested the rooting method posted above
works perfect :D

some of the apps like flashlight started working post rooting !!!

hey plz help me .!!

I am all set and ready to root with ninad's rom.!! but the thing he mentioned that hashes must match.!!

I t=installed the given programe to check hashes but they are not matching with root5 .!!

should i still replace the system.img file and start flashing or am i checking something wrong.!!

First of all Thanks a ton for being the torch bearer..... But sir I am facing some issues and I know this is due to my ignorance. I have a Micromax A75 and I downloaded the ROOT5.7z and extracted it to get a file system.img. I have also installed hashtab ( I really do not know its functionality) and it shows:

CRC32: 0A44CD5A
MD5: BEA0C366863268823FBB50D90DC893F3
SHA-1: 6D0618B3BCDD9C52CDCC1DA62C1B4A1988F0DD84

But I can't extract the system.img....I have tried demon tools and winimage, but that wont help. Sorry for my ignorance but it would be very kind of you to help me out in extraxcting it as I am really frustrated with the excess pre-loaded apps.
I am using Windows 7.

You don't need to extract system.img...u have to flash that on device using SP Flash Tools..u need to read about that on forum or google..
Or simply u can root it using CWM recovery but that also need to be flashed via SP Flash Tools.
Every method to get rooted n remove pre-installed apps need u to use SP Flash Tools..i will try to find out the link for the flashing tutorial.
