Root Worse battery life with GB?

I went from shabbymod with ciq removed to CTmod, and my battery life seems a lot worse.
I installed the same exact apps as i had before and everything seems to run smoother, but battery just gets eaten up somehow.
I doubt its the ct mod, because it should run more efficient with all that bloatware crap taken out, so did anyone else notice a decrease in battery life since upgrading to GB? and if so what do you think causes it?

I actually noticed a significant increase in battery life.

Maybe things just aren't all dialed in for you yet

Thats funny since I installed this, I have longer battery life. After you installed the rom did you do a wipe ?

Have you tried recalibrating your battery since GB? That might help out a lot. I get 1.5 days of moderate use (with occasional tethering), but I recalibrate my battery after every drastic change to Android.

Use the phone till it turns off by itself from low battery. Try turning it on and it might get to the home screen once or twice. When it doesn't even attempt to turn on plug in the charger and wait till it is fully charged. As in Settings> About Phone> Battery... 100%. While charging you can use it but do not take it off the charger.

Boot into CWM and wipe battery stats. Once back into the home screen you can unplug the charger. Use it till it dies on you again from low battery and at that point your battery has been re calibrated.

I got this from a different location in this forum... Good luck.

Yes i did a full wipe of sd card and factory reset after installing rom.
Right now at 4 pm its at 30%, took it off charger at 8 this morning, a little streaming, but overall pretty moderate use.
I'll try to wipe the stats, havent done that yet. Thanks for replies.

Yeah. I'd try wiping battery stats. Its not on the SD card... so when you wiped that it didn't help the battery. Someone with more knowledge than me will be along shortly to tell us where the battery stats are kept... I'm sure.

PS: Are you durak as in Russian for "crazy"?

factory reset, format /data partition, install rom... all would clear battery info file
it resides in /data/system/batterystats.bin

It actually means "stupid", as in the name of the card game :D
