I'd be forced to say no but there : http://androidforums.com/samsung-ga...on-about-international-samsung-galaxy-s2.html it seem like it could work ? .. I'm pretty confused , i'd like some answers , or a confirmation by some1 in the usa/canada with a S2
I'd plan to stick with fido if that can help out :
The Fido network originally ran solely on GSM 1900 and offered coverage in major urban areas in Canada. Since Microcell's purchase and merger by Rogers, currently the Fido Network consists of mainly GSM and HSPA in the 850 and 1900 MHz ranges. Fido's 3G network currently supports HSDPA 7.2 Mbit/s and HSUPA 2.0 Mbit/s in most major cities across Canada. Fido's network also supports HSPA+ at 21 Mbit/s, which is supported by their Nokia cs-18 data stick.
And if it work , could anyone point me out where i could buy an unbranded international version of the S2 , or would it be better for me to wait a lil more for a better phone ? (Lets say end june maximum) , because i'm kinda tired of my Bold 9000
Broken screen lol
Thanks a lots and sorry for the typo English is my second language

It will work in Canada, but only on Rogers' GSM/GPRS/EDGE (aka "2G") network. So instead of a 14 Mbps phone you will get a ~400 kbps (whatever the exact speed of EDGE is) phone.
Why? Because if you read the specs, it only supports W-CDMA on the 900 and 2100 MHz bands, which are not used in North America.
For Bell/Telus/Rogers W-CDMA, you need 850 or 1900 MHz (aka UMTS bands V or II). You need both if you don't want huge dead spots. 1900 MHz is moslty used in cities and 850 MHz in the country.
For Videotron, WIND, Mobilicity etc. you need the 1700 MHz band (aka UMTS band IV)
