Would you buy it again?

I am thinking about getting an Eris. If you could do it all over again, would you still buy it? I've read a ton of reviews but what do *you* think the pros and cons are?

EDIT: I am aware of the new phones coming out. I found this looking for info on the Incredible. I've been jerked around by the rumors of that phone for so long, I'm not sure I want it anymore. I don't think I want to spend that kind of money on a phone anymore. Now I am looking for something more affordable but still functional.
 
I think I still would, although I might have stuck with the Droid and tried a little harder to get use o it's bulky form. But all in all I am extrmely happy with my Eris
 
I wouldn't buy a Droid Eris again considering all the new HTC smartphones that are coming which are way better than the Eris.
 
Right now, I would buy an Eris again. If something happens to my Eris after the Nexus One is available for Verizon, I would buy that to replace it instead - until a better phone was available.

So, I guess my answer will depend on when you ask me...

I got mine in October so really had no way to know that the N1 and Incredible would all be coming out and even so 6 months would be a long time to wait
 
I would. Call quality surprised me as well as reception. Great phone for the $ hard talk and end buttons plus visual notifications seal the deal.
 
I would for sure. It's the best phone on Verizon right now in my opinion and because they have the best service and I hate the iPhone because it cannot multitask I would never switch. I love the Sense interface and until the Desire or Incredible comes out for Verizon it will continue to be the best phone on Verizon. I came from a Touch Pro 2 which I really liked but Android is far superior to WinMo.
 
no i would not, since i am not a patient person and this phone lags up on me so much and because of the battery life, i would of probably went with a droid or wait till verizons new arsenal comes out...i guess you get what you pay for
 
In 6 months , people buying the Nexus or Incredible or the latest and greatest , will be saying "I wish I had waited......blah,blah,blah !

Only way to keep up with Technology is to pay for it !

And No, although I'm fairly happy with my Eris, I would not have bought it, if I had known I'd be waiting for the OS update 6 months + !:confused:
 
Knowing the nexus one is coming no I wouldn't. Do not get me wrong it was the best choice for my first smart phone and totally glad I bought it.

Nope. the phone us underpowered and slow and causes much frustration when trying to just get basic things done (ie basic phone calls, sending txts, etc. Love Android, just not on Eris hardware.
 
If I had to buy today, yes. I'd buy it again. My reasons for not buying the Droid haven't changed. It's bulky and ugly. I'm not interested in the devour, so if I could wait I would probably do so for some of the phones coming down the chute, but if I had to buy today then I would buy an Eris.
 
No. The Eris is under powered.The lag time drives me crazy. The Nexus is coming and is all the things an Eris should be.The form factor of the Eris is great.
