I don't think I've ever paid that much for a vacation and I've got the money to do so. I'm just to cheap. I will likely end up just staying in town and my company will email me/call me with problems that I'll end up fixing even though I'm technically on vacation.

It's for my anniversary w/ the misses. She wants to go to Costa Rica, so that's where we're going.

I've been told that many, many times before. I'm a pretty hardcore workaholic. Work can be as unhealthy to me as alcohol can be to an alcoholic. When I left my last job I had over a month and a half of vacation saved up and had at least 6 months or so of sick time. With email and everything I can work when I'm not in the office so I often do.

What the hell is wrong with you!? Get your ass on that vacation to Cooperstown, like yesterday.

Anony (yes, that's your new nickie ), you should really take that vacation. Life is short and you don't want to regret not doing more with the family down the line when you have the time to do it now. (I'm thinking it's with the family?) Work is good but work shouldn't be your life. Plus...you'll burn out faster if you don't take a nice relaxing break.

Also...I hope you were alble to cash those Vacation and Sick days...

I guess you could say that lol. I like to get away myself too. I'm a lot more anti-social than she is, so it all makes sense for me. She can hush up for a wihle and I get to relax poolside in a foreign country lol.

I'm single. Mainly because I work too much to make a relationship work so any vacation would be just by myself.

I cashed in the vacation days, but wasn't allowed to cash in the sick days.
