Good, you are on the current bootloader. Now download and copy to SD card the NJ2 stock rooted ROM from this link. Wouldn't hurt to get the boot loader zip and stock recovery zip also. Flash with custom recovery . With TWRP, I'll flash all in this order. Bootloader,ROM,Recovery. If after the flash phone hangs on AT&T screen for more than 10 min, pull and replace battery, boot into stock recovery and do factory reset.
Factory reset with the stock recovery is a miracle worker.

I usually download to PC then copy to phone via USB. I copy to the removable SD card I have in the phone so it won't get deleted in a factory reset. In the link above, get both downloads under NJ2 and the Stock Recovery at the bottom of the page. When you go to flash in custom recovery just navigate to the external SD to select the zips to flash.

all this from an ota update that son accepted :( ive never used twrp before. Although at one point in this process it did show up.

AT&T makes it difficult by not releasing the firmware but I have used the zip files from XDA to fix and update several i747's. After you get the 3 zip files copied to the phone, boot into download mode and flash your favorite recovery again. Sometimes it's best to uncheck Auto Reboot in Odin and when you get a Pass, unplug phone, remove and replace battery, and then boot into hopefully CWM . Sometimes the stock recovery will overwrite it if you don't.

Thank you hopefully i can figure this out. I usually root only get to get rid of bloat. Ive never had to do anything close to this. Yes they make it hard. Since this a rather large file i guess itll be awhile before i know the outcome. I do thank you for your help. Crossing my fingers.....ill let ya know

There are a few custom Roms that I like for the i747. SlimLP 5.1 and CM 12.1 are both good if you feel adventurous after you get it up and running. It's 5:30 here now and usually crash around 10. If you have any questions I'll try to answer.

I would like to try something different. I have been to chicken to attempt for fear of bricking my phone. Its 630 here. Ill let ya know the outcome asap. maybe ya can help with a custom rom if i get this going again. Thank you

I managed to do everything listed and it went well i guess But still no sound and it wont find sim card :/ so i guess it didnt really go so well

Check in Settings-About phone and see if your build and baseband match, both ending in NJ2. Check to see if your IMEI info is present and correct.

To check your speaker, pull up your phones dial keypad and enter *#7353# to get to the Quick Test Menu. Click on option 1. Melody to test the speaker normally used for conversations. Then click on option 3. To test the external speaker. When finished, hit the return key to exit out of menu.
Not sure on the Sim issue, could try booting up without Sim then turn off and replace sim and Reboot.

I'm guessing with baseband unknown your IMEI is corrupt or null? Is the build number showing up as NJ2?

You can try to flash the NJ2 bootloader and modem zip again. If that doesn't work there are a few PC programs that I have used to write the IMEI back to the phone and usually once that is correct, baseband will show up as correct also.
How did the speaker test go?

Can you get back into download mode and flash TWRP again with Odin? Remember to uncheck Auto Reboot and do the battery pull after pass.
