Help WTF is going on with my ringtones?

Um...do I have a virus or something????

Yesterday I noticed that ALL of my assigned ring tones and notification sounds were messed up. They were all NOT what I chose..but were different sounds and songs altogether. I spent about 25 minutes fixing it yesterday, assigning the proper ones to the proper contacts...but GUESS WHAT???? Today they are all screwed up again! Is this happening to anyone else? Very frustrating. Is there some kind of "ring tone virus" that I don't know about?

Anyone had a similar problem in the last week or two...please chime in.

i have seen 3 or so posts about this but i don't know that anyone has found the source or a solution other than hard reset. one person posted they believe it to be malware of some sort that was implemented via a security vulnerability in flash 10.1 but I have not verified this.

i have suggested two things:

back up sd card and format, reinstall items to sd card
hard reset/factory data wipe
