WTH is this about "nonresponsive" screens?

Extremely childish reply, thanks

Actually I love my Inc, and I hate anything from the forbidden fruit company, so defo not a fan boy.

necosino:

My phone is has the Sedio Innocase on it, and when i touch the case on the side with 1 finger and then try the screen in the drawing program once my phone in on a un-gounded surface, is responds but only just, if I then touch the volume -/+ which is not part of the case and part of the actual phone, screen works perfect, so in answer to your question yes the case grounds the phone but only just.

Try it for yourself.

Its not a HUGE deal, and people will get used to it, But if you ask me HTC need to own up to the design flaw, and work around fixing it, or maybe they have and new ones won't do it, OR like I said before, maybe it was a bad batch.

Either way it is real,

I agree, you all are ******s saying it isn't a big deal, to you maybe. I'm truly glad some are willing to deal with it, but who the heck are you to tell me just deal with it? I USE MY PHONE on flat surfaces all the time with one hand and it sucks big time! Just hold the phone while I use it? You're pathetic. This is a $500 phone and it needs to work correctly. I cannot eat and use the phone on the table with one hand..ya huge deal for me. Cannot lay on my bed and play games without holding it...ya huge deal for me. I got a "new" replacement on the way. Hope one of you that don't care and tell everyone to deal with it gets it as a replacement some day. No, I'm not saying it's a bad phone. I love it. I just want one that works properly. If not, I'll go Droid.

My screen has this issue when on any surface and even when I hold it. I also have screen calibration issues which aren't fixed by calibration and are maddening. Also the notification screen frequently locks up about a half inch from the top when trying to view them. Not acceptable.

my screen sometimes has an issue. on my lockscreen when i type in the password, sometimes it doesn't let me touch one of the circles thats part of my password, so i can't even get it unlocked. this doesn't happen often, maybe 4 or 5 times since i've had my phone. it does piss me off though.

Agreed. I first noticed this weeks ago, within a couple of days of getting my phone. If I'm lying in bed with the phone sitting on the bed, the screen only responds intermittently. It's not a huge problem and I haven't even thought about seeking a replacement because of it (until now), but it is definitely annoying.

For the record, I've never had an iphone and don't want one. I purposely sought out an Android phone and I expect it to work.

The guys (and gals) who get bent out of shape every time anyone brings up a legitimate concern about the phone come across as fanboys. They seem to lack confidence in their choice of phone so they cannot abide anyone questioning the phone. It's like product-based jingoism.

What a lame test. The guy is an idiot. What next, the Incredible doesn't work after being submerged in water for 5 minutes?
My Incredible has been pretty good to me.

Has anyone heard an update on this? I have this issue, and while it's not a huge problem it does make my car dock useless... any potential fixes?

Quickest fix I've found is plug your charger in whist in car dock, or what i did was wire my dock to my deadbolts behind car stereo so its always grounded. HTC have said something about an OTA update which should fix this issue, APPARENTLY, but i'll believe it when I see it.

Mine only did this once when I plugged in a generic charger. It sitting on the table, couldn't use it. No issues without the charger, and no issues with other chargers. No worries here.

Mine has the black silicone HTC case.
