I'm lookin forward to this movie. I hope it falls through, keeps me entertained, and dosen't bunk. I enjoyed the first three, excluding wolverine:origins, even though alot of the story was turned around like losing cyclops and jean grey. I get all reasons like how the dude that plays cyclops was filming bunk movie superman returns at the sametime last stand was being filmed. I hada feeling magneto:origins was going to be something different. There itissssssss..........that being said. What's your take on this upcoming film added now to all X-Men Movies?

Cyclops uniform is UGLY... I hope its good and hope they explain how prof x becomes crippled. I think its going to be a lot of filler. No matter what I will still see it.

I will be forced to watch it, me and my wife have a running date theme and we went and saw an X-man film, maybe X2? And now we must see everyone in theatres together...but eh, a lot of explosions so why not ;)

I honestly think it will be the best one compared to the other 4, I think they will explain how professor x gets crippled.......but probably different scenaio than how it happened in the comics

I wasn't against the Wolverine movie, but it wasn't what I thought it could have been. Still, they're all better than X-Men 3, what a terrible movie that was. I thought the first two were good, though. First class does look pretty good, and I'll be seeing it tomorrow.

He's actually not even Cyclops. That's his father.

Overall, I felt it was a waste of $22 (2 tickets). It had a few funny parts and lots of innuendo towards the future but it lacked the action that I was anticipating.

That didn't happen either. He was shot in his spinal region. Wolverine's cameo was the best part of the movie IMO!

I'll admit that I didn't have to pay anything (so that very well change my view) but I rather enjoyed this one!

I agree with my mod brother and personal friend. This is the best summer movie so far. :) The others are good too. Just say it this afternoon. :)

I saw it last night and thought it was excellent, and feel it's the best movie I've seen so far this year.

Keep in mind, there's def some continuity issues with first 3 movies, but there's also a couple nice nods to them, too. If you have never seen or heard of the X-Men before, there may be a few places where you wonder why certain events are happening or why a character is making certain decisions, but overall, as a story, this is an excellent piece.

I did want to add that I had read a review that said the most exciting parts of these movies are when the mutants are displaying their powers. But what separates First Class is that even when they're just conversing, the movie is just as riveting. I completely agree with this assessment.

NYC Hitman whats dumb is if that is cyclop's father: his father had no super powers that i know about [except maybe good luck] he went off to the star jammers when cyclops was kid and was presumed dead as was his mom from a planecrash that had 2 survivors scott and his brother [havok] i hate hollwoods interpretations of things especially since x men has a ton of reference material 500+ comics and they do their own thing [can anyone say thor]

I guess I assumed since the character's name was Alex Summers and Scott Summers = Cyclops. Then again, wasn't his father's name Christopher or something like that? I dunno for certain. I supposed I tried to make a link between the characters.

EDIT: After doing research, that's apparently Cyclops' brother (Havok - Alex Summers).

I enjoyed the movie, but yes, Alex is Cyclops' brother in the comics. I hope they don't make him his father in the movies, it's just unnecessary.

i read somewhere that the director wanted to treat this movie as a general first into a trilogy, in a sense as a reboot, did this movie seem like a reboot at all?

Um...maybe. There are def some events in the movie that would alter what was established in the previous movies.

Saw the movie ( twice just because i wanted to get a good chance to study it too ) and overall it's quite a good movie as far as superhero films go.

I read lots of the original X-Men comics and i own pretty much all the ones where the new team comes in ( So Banshee, Wolvie, Storm, etc )

character treatment was good, i thought Magneto was amazing and was very well done, no over done background story but just enough to get the sense of why he thinks as he does.
I liked the humor of Prof. X although he's a bit of a wuss in the film overall but it's expected being an oxford boy for the most part

a few clumsy parts but good pacing and action, and a decent soundtrack ( i love Magneto's theme )

This is indeed the best X-Men flick ever. The other three don't even come close to this one. The story line was good. Magneto was the man. This movie was alot better than I expected....which is a great thing.

Magneto owned this movie. I love his theme too.

I liked it, it seemed like it went good with the rest of them except the Wolverine origins movie.

Yes, awesome movie. Magneto was very well done! I'm not a big X-men fan but I do enjoy the movies, it was nice to learn how Professor X was crippled. I was really hoping to see Storm in that movie but oh well, still damn good.
