XO Skins Installed with fit pics, Perfection!

Installed my XO Skin last about 15 hours ago and most of the large bubbles have worked themselves out. TIP: Don't try to work them out after it has dried for a bit just leave it alone and they go away. I tried to fix a few and now it has some blemishes around where the bubbles were.

My biggest concern with this protector is the grainy look it is giving to the screen. Looks like crystalized brush strokes. It is on 60% of the screen.

I have attached a pic that will hopefully demostrate this. Will this go away after time or is this how it always looks? Installation error perhaps?

If this is how it is, it will be coming off.

EDIT: the strokes I'm talking about are on the left side of the screen. They are vertical from top to bottom covering 60-75% of the screen left to right. THe only "clear" area is on the right. The right isn't perfect, but it's almost tolerable.

I have the same thing on my screen. It's on the left side of my screen roughly in the same place. It has been about a week and I do think it is getting smaller over time but it's still noticeable on a light colored screen. I thought it came from not letting my screen dry after I cleaned it, but I figured that would dry just like the instillation liquid.

Weird. .. If it doesn't go away after a few days, it would be a defect. Contact their customer service and they will take care of you. I have always had good experiences with them.

Put a XO Skin on my Gnex last night. Applied it and it looked horrible. Tons of bubbles... but I decided to give it some time. I put the hair dryer on it at low with the heat off. After an hour almost all the bubbles were gone except the larger one. After another hour I powered up my phone and set it on the bedside table to charge overnight. Woke up to only 3 bubbles. Was very optimistic. During the day today the bubbles have all disappeared and the screen looks like there isn't a cover at all on it. I seriously can't believe how clear the screen is. I will never put another VZ screen protector on my phone. With the VZ protector it was really grainy and detracted from the beauty of a HD screen. The XO literally looks like there is nothing on the screen. It looks perfect. Can't speak highly enough. And the rubber feel that people have complained about only happens when you press really hard... light touch and even long holds feel perfect. A very happy customer here.

You must have had the awful "anti-glare" ones (matte) from VZW.
I threw those out immediately, but their clear ones (dry application) are quite good!

Not rubbery at all, smooth, no lifting edges, zero bubbles. Saved my screen from a nasty scratch the other day, too. :)

I decided to use those till my XO Skin came in, but I still have the Verizon clear ones on to this day and the XO Skin is sitting in its box (since last December).

Crazy right? I have to point it out to people when I tell them about it.

I dunno how long its been since i applied my xo skin (weeks or more).

Definitely do not like feel at all! Its just way too rubbery and annoying when trying to swipe the screen.

Ive no doubt it does a great job at protecting the glass, but im sure ill be fine with a regular dry application protector.

The rubbery feeling went away after a day or so for me. Maybe my hand are just less moist. If you have used other wet ones, this one is by far the best for no orange peel or stickiness.

Just installed an XO skin on my Nexus and my daughter's Stratosphere tonight. She had some scratches on her screen so I'll be interested to see if it fills them in eventually. So far, it has the typically horrible look of a wet install. I have experience with Ghost Armor, which seems to be very similar and it cleared up after a day or two so I'm expecting the same results.

I had Ghost Armor on my OG Droid and was demonstrating to my brother how it was scratch resistent. So I picked up a wood screw from his workbench and scratched it back and forth on my screen. To my embarrassment and his amusement, the screen protector was scratched all to hell. I went to bed thinking I'd be ordering another screen protector in the morning but to my amazement, the scratches were gone in the morning. Not a trace.

I've heard people say that this film is essentially a slow moving liquid. Don't know about that but it's a curious material and works well as a screen protector IMHO.

24 hours in and the bubbles are all gone. Feels a bit more tacky than Ghost Armor but I recall that the Ghost Armor smoothed out over time and I'm expecting the same thing to happen with XO. My install was perfect if I do say so myself. Went on easier than Ghost Armor and I put that on 3 devices so I have a little experience with wet install screen protectors. So far I'm liking it alot.

I installed my XO Skin on Christmas. I spent lots of time to get out the bubbles with the corner of the squeeegee. Tiny tracks were left where I squeezed out the bubbles, but they're only noticeable with careful inspection under bright light. The orange peel effect disappeared after a day. There may be a slight colorized effect still, but again, it's usually not noticeable. I don't notice old scratches in the glass anymore, either. :) I don't find XO Skin too sticky for swipe.

The reason I searched for this post is I'm looking to see if others found ways to reduce fingerprints. I was considering dish soap. Finger oil does stick to plastic skins a lot more than glass. It's not permanent the way a scratch is, but there are now an annoyingly constant amount of smudges all over the screen every time I need to touch it --which is, of course, a lot. Now that I know the real enemy is sand, not keys, I might not have bought a plastic skin.

Ironic, I had an extra XO for SGN. I came back to a SGN as a backup phone recently, so I'll be putting it on soon.

Wash your hands more :D:D

Ever notice that some "review" videos on youtube have reviewers that didn't wash their hands with soap before the review? :D

I use the skin to stop fingerprints and keep sand from scuffing the screen. The spray that's in it is just soap and water. You can refill the bottle. I keep it in my laptop bag. Just a drop of dish soap and water to use when my kids cheese my phone.
