Root Xrecovery and FlashTools??

Hello,

I would like to install the DualTouch file to my existing Rom as described by Bin4ry over at XDA. My phone currently has Xrecovery installed. I downloaded Flashtools which is required to load the DualTouch file however I can't get Flashtools to connect to my phone because the method used is to boot while holding the back button which before Xrecovery took you to a service screen at which point you are to connect the USB cable and FlashTools should connect. Now holding the back button while booting starts Xrecovery first so I don't see a way to get Flashtools to connect if you have Xrecovery on the phone first. Can someone confirm? I really like Xrecovery but if I need to remove it is there a way to simply suspend it so that I can get Flashtools to connect or will I need to remove completely.
Thanks.

Hold back button while connecting the USB cable (not whilst turning it on). This will enter flash mode

as above the phone should be turned off and hold in the back key while putting the cable in.

Thanks to all. Didn't realize phone was to be off for the connection of the usb cable. After connecting Flashtools was easy as was the install of the Dualtouch file. Nice to get dualtouch without having to upgrade and re-root etc.

Well most people don't make it clear that the phone has to be turned off, like I didn't in my previous post lol
