xScope, a multitouch pinch zoom browser

One quick request, Mr. X-- would it be possible to toggle default between windowed and full screen?

Or maybe just have that setting be remembered and persistent?

To have my notification bar displayed (which is my preference), I'm constantly having to make that selection.

Keep up the good work!

Mr. X says YES!

Xscope, want to pay you for this. Downloaded free version. Do I have to unistall and download pay version, or do you have a paypal acct (not sure there is a diff between free and paid versions either). Just figured have all my favs setup already, and didn't want to uninstall and lose this then re install paid version. Thanks for great app!

The two versions don't diverge much yet but they are in totally different package as the android market requires distinct package names for each app.

You can also wait until 4.0 version is out hopefully by this weekend.
Regarding the payment process, I think that when you download paid version from the market, you will have to use google checkout. Then if you uninstall within 24 hours, you will get no hassle refund. I actually like this idea because customers can always try and return.

xScope,
Wowowow... I'm stuck at work, reading about this... can't wait to get home to try it out!! Can I interrupt your walking on water to request that you also grant the Droid the power to enable flash, play any video, triple the battery life, and make coffee?
Just kidding... aching to get home to try it!!!

Playing flash and tripling the battery life are too much. I can think about about the making coffee part because my Droid DOES get very hot after intense usage :)

Can't wait for v4.0!
Any sneak peeks into the feature set? :D

Also.....did you see what I'd mentioned earlier about a repeatable FC when I try to bookmark Hotmail or Yahoo mail inboxes?

:D
The FC for bookmarking them should be gone. Can you try it again?

xScope,
If you are still looking for graphics work, you can check the warriorforum.com under "warriors for hire"
Some of those guys are ridiculously awesome, and riculously inexpensive (like $20 or so)...

Can you outline the bookmark import process? I have to use google/yahoo bookmarks which are slow because they have to connect with the sites to access the bookmark and THEN load the page. I've tried an app that claims to import into steel/default, but it doesn't work. If yours allows the import (safari or firefox) I will immediately buy it. If it doesn't I'll give it a try anyway but if bookmark management is straightforward it's a slam-dunk otherwise....

soooo this is basically only for Droid owners. I mean legally, they're the only ones who have 2.0 right?

In theory. But according to xScope, a version for ALL android phones (2.0 and under) will be released sometime soon, hopefully by this weekend?

I cant wait to see this app in action with the Nexus One. I can already tell the two will work together beautifully.

Thanks for the hint! I will try it. Too busy lately and beautifying icon becomes very low priority.

Wanted to say that I love the latest update! But I have noticed that xscope cannot open secure sites. Example: I went to steam to buy a game on xscope browser, just a few days ago. When I went to checkout and make a payment it wouldn't load anything, just a blank page. So I tried with the default browser and it worked without any problems. Is this something that can be added or fixed in future updates? Thanks

It must be related to ssl stuff. I will do some research on that. Thanks

Why limit a browser to only Webs? What about local files? Tasks?
Now xScope is officially a Web, Task, and File browser thanks to all your suggestions and support (seems bad to brief as WTF browser:confused:)

(This forum doesn't allow bigger and portrait images sorry for the rotated ones)

All I can say is OMG, this new version is more amazing than the others. You are never ceasing to amaze. I love the new little page flip looking thing on the side that opens a nice menu.

Is there any chance to get the gps part activated or permission-ed or whatever its called. That is the only thing stopping me from using this browser for stuff like sigalert.com. Otherwise this is freaking awesome.

It has been great watching xScope evolve and the new release is fantastic. The interaction on this forum with the developer is second to none. I just took the plunge and purchased it. Money well spent. I can't wait to see what surprises are coming in 5.0...

Tried searching and didn't find an answer.
Is there a way to edit the names of favorites?
Is there a "close all other tabs" function?

This is turning out into a whole OS!...not just a browser

Just tried going to m.nbc.com to view some episodes. For some reason, it would load the html page before the video halfway and then stop, requiring a kill by advanced Task manager.

Works fine from default browser...once I click on the episode....I get the option to view it in gallery and then launches the gallery.

Some more fine tuning of the intents?

Keep up the good work
