Help Yahoo Mail Stopped Working

i find it funny that this OP was started in June, my phone didn't start doing this until just this week. When i called Sprint the lady on the phone told me "oh no, it isn't Sprint, it's yahoo's fault that this is taking place. We are totally aware of it and there is a "ticket" out on it now and we have informed yahoo about it" she told me to access my yahoo account i'd have to do it from my browser. I said "lady i gave $500 for this phone and your telling me whaaaaa?" Anyway i was looking for answers caws it's really getting on my nerves and i found this thread and thought i'd join.(First post)

First thing you need to do is pay attention to dates....Fully. This thread was started in June of last year...2011, not a few month ago. This may be your phone but it could just as easily be a Yahoo Mail issue. For this specific issue the OP posted about it was a Yahoo Mail problem. Long been fixed.

i have a yahoo email account among others. i actually use my browser to view it rather then the app so i never had any issues.

I woke up this morning and found no new email. I used my PC to log on to Yahoo Mail and retrieved lots of them. Anyone else having this issue?

Edit: I am using the native HTC mail client on Evo 4G. It failed to retrieve new Yahoo mail in the morning of Tuesday June 21. It was running Android 2.3 GB when the problem occurred. Then I applied the 6/21/11 maintenance update and it did not fix the problem.

I don't use the htc native mail client because it is not reliable...I downloaded the yahoo app and it works perfectly.

I've had the issue since early this week as well. I have uninstalled, reinstalled (and the app brings in my new mail), but doesn't sync any more. I do get my spam without a problem. It is my inbox that is giving me the issue.

I had the same issue with my Yahoo plus acct as everyone else. I solved it for now by deleting the account in the standard phone's Mail app. I re-set it up using "other pop/imap". I did select IMAP, and did manual configure. For the IMAP server I changed "htc.imap.mail.yahoo.com" to "imap.mail.yahoo.com". Since outgoing worked, I left the SMTP server at the "htc.smtp.mail.yahoo.com". All other settings were left at their defaults. I received and replied to email and it works for now.
