Yamgo - streaming tv to desire (uk)

Just tried it again tonight and it worked a lot better. Bandwidth issues previously? Dunno. Not sure even at it's best it's good enough for the world cup, but we'll see. :-)

very nice app, it work perfectly in the stock browser and registered online with Desire.

Thanks a lot everyone

I have registered fine but I cannot access it when connected to wi-fi! any mobile data connection is fine but wireless and all I get is 'cannot connect to server' Any ideas?

my wireless connection at work is very slow and painful but at home is fast and great.

enjoying this toy more and more...............

Works perfectly for me. Created account online (PC), opened interner browser, went to yamgo.mobi.com. Logged in, clicked on BBC1 and within 2 seconds it was playing. I have no streaming apps or anything on the phone.

I noticed that yamgo picked up my mobile as HTC - Bravo.

Thanks for this, rep given.

I've been using the Yamgo service for a few weeks now and I find it works great on my stock browser with 3G or Wi-Fi connection. I registered on the dot com website and they sent a link to my phone and I was away after that. It's a very simple service to use.
A lad in the office has an iPhone and the quality is similar on both. The World Cup is going to be great, all the games are going to be available on mobile and for free! They have also just put loads of videos of premiership goals up on the video section and also some bikini girl videos!! Ding Dong!!:p:p

right, just re-registered via the yamgo.com website on my pc.
was sent a link via text.

when i click the link and go using the default browser, when i now click on the channel icon i now get the options that were missing before, to either 'play in movie player' or 'stream movie file'!

neither work though

except if im using wifi.

Hi,
I have been able to sign up and get on the site from my desire (using 3g on O2) but when I try any of the channels it has the loading screen for a while then I get "unable to connect to server". I am on the .mobi site and the internet settings are set to accept mobile versions of web sites.

When people say they are using the Dolphin browser am I correct in thinking that this would be on Orange and as an o2 customer I wouldn't be able to use it?

Is it working for anyone else on O2?

dolphin is a free browser available on the app market, get the dolphin hd version.

Im on O2 and have the same symptoms as you. Mine only works when connected by wifi, I think it may be O2 blocking the service.

Thanks for that CarsnGadgets I hvejust tried it again on the home wifi and it works fine as well. I will download dolphin and hope that O2 aren't blocking it.

Im having a problem.
have created an account, logged in on my handset and it even sees my handset and using both stock and dolphin browser, but stock browser says page not found and dolphoin, a box pops up that says "Data connectivity problem, The protcol is not supported"

Im on 3uk with an unlimited data package.

Any ideas?

Hi can anyone who is on Vodafone please give me their internet settings, I cant get this to work at all on my desire.

Has anyone got this working on Vodafone UK? If so what are your APN settings. Please Im desperate before the world cup starts. All I get is ' unable to connect to server '

am I right in thinking that when you log onto teh site, its playing through the default picture viewer installed on the handset?

if so, has anyone got it playing in anything else with better results?

I reckon Vodafone is blocking it, I haven't been able to stream it over HSDPA either :(. WIth WiFi it's a charm :D

Does this not just load into the HTC Flash player anyway though, so wouldn't make any difference what browser you used? The audio is a bit out of sync too but should be alright for watching football I reckon, probably not for anything else though.

EDIT: realised it was because I had "Mobile View" turned off in the browser settings,. All working now, seems pretty good for a free service, very similar to tvcatchup.com[/QUOTE]

What is "mobile view" ?????

I've uninstalled Opera now.

both the default internet program and dolphin are set to allow mobile sites.

But whichever i use (non wifi, usually on 'H' connection), when i click on the channel link, it goes to the swirly progress thing on the video player for maybe 30 seconds then brings up a window saying it 'cannot play the video file as it cannot connect to the server'. wifi works fine.

odd. like i said, maybe its just O2.

Same for me and i'm on Vodafone!?!?!?!?
