okay so i was looking on VM's website hopeing for some good news.... but what i got to find is that Virgin Mobile releases another android phone that comes stock with 2.3????

the Venture 3G.... come on now VM instead of releasing a 3rd "weaker" android phone with Gingerbread at that why not pay attention to your so called "best" phone and work on an update.....

Venture 3G Android-powered Phone | Virgin Mobile USA

Virgin Mobile scores the Alcatel OneTouch Venture, can be yours March 15th for $100 - Engadget

What do you guys think of Virgin Mobile doing this do you approve?

Hahaha, I'm not surprised that it is Android 2.3, but what shock me is it has a 2.8" screen! Don't expect Virgin Mobile USA to come out ICS anytime soon. LOL. That phone is such a disappointment. LMAO.

Lmao really? That phone blows. Well I might be going back to Tmobile by July if nothing good hits us. I got full signal everywhere with tmobile. Its very hard leaving $25 phone service even if I have the worst signal ever (GrooveIP is what's made me last a year with Virgin)

True.... i feel as if they've forgotten us Triumph users and are trying to move on to other android phones :(

feels like there saying "we got our money now shove off....."

More like feels like it did from the beginning and with every phone they have. They don't give a sh!t. They just release more and more phones they don't update. It's like have a new phone that's a POS to replace your phone that we don't want to fix.

The only thing I see happening is if they did push a phone with ics they might send it out to the biggest selling phone that they truly know deserved it. In all reality tho, look at how many of their phones have gotten updates, what's that tell you, but hey, at least were not contact bound

Well htc one v will become coming to virgin mobile by this summer with 4.0, with a price tag of about 200 is what their saying. so with that phone and the venture that could be a clear sign that virgin mobile will not be giving us and update for the triumph because their going to force us to either go out and buy the venture for the 2.3 where asking for or if the one V actually do come to virgin mobile they would rather u spend 200 to get the 4.0 then to give us 2.3 or 4.0 on the triumph which would be free.

Unfortunately it has no FFC and a smaller screen :/

Honestly that doesn't matter to me. When I had the Optimus V I was fine with that screen size. And the FFC is not big deal at all. The only time I actually used it on the Triumph was when I accidentally video chatted my friend on GTalk. I cannot wait for the One V. I'll be waiting the day it comes out to get it.

And 2GB internal rom.. the low space is the main thing that pushed me toward the Triumph. I really thought it was a dependable phone otherwise.

I think without a doubt we can say that the Optimus V has been one of the best phones on VM (so far.) Sure it doesn't have a bigger screen, or nicer camera. It just works. (Unlike the Triumph, which has needed help from wonderful devs to get it to work the right way.)
