Hey all, I have found a way to fix the YouTube 2.2 app fix for the ROMs that have them. I myself have Velocity .4 ROM, and had the dreaded force close issue. Here's how I fixed it.
First of all, let me begin by saying that I did search it and found only 1 solution. It did not work for me. The solution was to go to Setttings>Applications>Manage Applications>YouTube and clear settings. I did not have YouTube under Manage Applications. I suspect it to be that way because of it being installed under the system folder.
My solution was to use a root enabled file explorer, you can use Root Explorer or Super Manager. You need to delete the file: /data/data/com.google.android.youtube/shared_prefs/youtube.xml
That will fix your problem.
