Help youtube

there is a youtube app which comes with the ascend. when you go to the mobile youtube page through metroweb it works fine, untill you go to play a video. it then Says "complete this action using YouTube" or in my case also "skyfire". i recomend downloading skyfire, a free browser from android market, as you can watch streaming video from any website including sites like justin.tv.

I'm with Metro. Regardless of the carrier, someone was kind enough to share the apk file with me, so right now I have Adobe Flashplayer 10.1 installed. I can upload to a share site and post the link, it's about 4MB in size.

I'd be willing to try it out for you Jazz. I will also put up a screenshot for you shortly assuming it is the proper flash player.

But will also state if is not of course. This post willbe updated in 10-15minutes

UPDATE:
Its definitely flash player 10.1, I cannot test and dont have the time to at the moment as I must goto work now.

Just as a side note, if any of you are on HoFo I'm a gold member on there if that helps my credibility and I got the file from one of the members on that site.

If we are cautious here it is because there is so much new and unofficial stuff coming at us from every direction. Couple of questions for you please:

How long have you had this app?

Are you rooted or any other mods?

Have you had any other probs?

Has it improved your ability to watch youtube and vids?

What about game playing, etc.?

1.) Had this app about 2 weeks now
2.) Rooted of course, setcpu, startup changed, bloatware removed :D
3.) No problems
3.) Always used the youtube app and didn't have an issue with that, but was never able to watch youtube vids through the browser until this was installed
4.) Don't play games so can't answer that

Thanks so much for that great info! I'm with Cricket and I haven't had any difficulty watching youtubes at all. I don't know if that makes any difference because I have friends with Cricket who DO have a prob watching the youtubes no matter what method they attempt.

Do you still have any games on your phone? LOL Maybe you could be our guinea pig and try out something like Angry Birds and see how that works now. :D

Oh wait...you would have to buy it I think.

Well, this is interesting. I think a couple of the others are installing it now so we will see what their feedback is too.

I've actually had Angry Birds Free installed (I don't play games but THAT is addicting) and the only thing I can tell you is that it took forever to load. You start the app, go grab some coffee and a sandwich, maybe finish that book you started last year and when you get back it will be loaded. Once loaded it worked...ok....nothing special, wasn't 100% smooth but was def playable.

Uninstalled it because I realized that I would have to kill a real pig out of anger if I got real far before the free version stopped and I'd have to start from scratch with the full version.

After having just checked out of the Mafia Wars Rehab Center (3 years is a long time :P) I am not anxious to get hooked on anything else. However, my S/O already thinks I am addicted to my little phone.

Could that be truuuuuuuuuueeeeeeeeee? :D
 
Holy hell! 3 years? LMAO

I can't say I have played anything for more then a month with the exception of my old Nintendo Game & Watch back when I was 10 years old. LOL

As far as being addicted to our phones, THAT is where the issue is, only problem I can't stick to one phone as this is my (thinking hard) 6th phone in the last 12 months.
