Ryan Z was/is the developer for z4root as everyone of us already know. Does anyone know if he has a web site anywhere? Is he still supporting the app?The only site I know of is xda-developers...

Also, I have version 1.3.0. Is this still the latest version?

Last I saw 1.30 was still the latest and greatest. Considering the trouble some are having with 340, a new version might be warranted.

I thought there was an open source page with source code.

It seems to be pretty up to date. When my ex got her Droid Pro I rooted it with Z4 in 20 seconds flat. And that's a brand new device.

The problems people are having with Z4Root and the DX are so eratic it's bizzare. Most root their DX without a single issue. Others have to try many times and then still may not succeed.

I don't know that he could do anything about that. Or if the few devices that have problems rooting with Z4Root warrant him spending time on an update. But I suppose if I were one of the ones having problems, I would want him to find a solution! Lol

after i received the newest OTA update, the first thing i did was root with z4root, and i had no problems. rooted in about 15 seconds. my version of z4root is also 1.3.0

Has to be a mistake by poster. Apex has nothing to do with Z4root. 1.3.0 is the latest.

Actually, the 'root' source of the problem rooting your phone with z4root after the update, based on my cursory overview, seems to exist only for those who were rooted beforehand and particularly if they had rooted with another process. Indeed, this was the problem that I had. Apparently, a conflict existed between SuperUser and Superuser.
