I'm assuming you've tried downloading it again to make sure that you have a clean copy and you've tried reflashing?

It's very possible that the ROM just doesn't like your phone (hardware varies ever so slightly).
I am comming from Fresh 2.1, is that a problem?

I would like to add that maybe you downloaded a corrupted copy of the zip.... maybe try and find a different link to download it from?

There is a bug in one version of 1.5.2 so it might be better to flash 1.6.2 to your phone. Again, I don't know if this is what is causing your issues, but at this point it can't hurt to start with the basics.

Here is the link to xda for the RA 1.6.2: [Recovery] CDMA Sprint [07-Mar-2010] RA-heroc-v1.6.2 - xda-developers

You can download it from there. The instructions are included, but here are the steps since you already have root:

Copy recovery-RA-heroc-v1.6.2.img to the root of your sdcard
Boot into your current custom recovery (boot while holding HOME)
Connect your Hero via usb to your pc/mac/...
adb shell
$su (not required if you have root already)
#mount -a
#flash_image recovery /sdcard/recovery-RA-heroc-v1.6.2.img
Be sure to do a nandroid backup before you do anything. After flashing 1.6.2, boot to RA and do a wipe of data/factory reset, dalvik cache, and the SD ext partition. Then flash the Zen ROM again. The first boot can take quite awhile, like 20 minutes or so. Let us know how things go.

is anybody else got a notification for Voicemail in the notif. bar?
Mine says I have 21 unread messages and it wont go away. When i click the notification it tells me its calling *86 not my number, on xda its if you was to click and dial that then you had to wipe and ect. (i did that several times still there)

I downloaded the update in the zenupdater and everything else ect. ect.

I wiped i flashed i re-did over and over and it wont go away.

I dont have an app for visual voicemail to change settings. is there and app for that i can download in the market?

Can someone please help me thanks

reading the descriptions of the rom again... and it states something about an mms fix? click on the link to download the file to flash it.. and its a dead link... any fix for it?

I think the MMS was only for one specific build of Zen.

I have not flashed it and have not had any issues with MMS.

Correct. The build number under my avatar is the one I'm running without any MMS problems (or extra work to get them working).

ok im on the same build... just gotta wait and see i guess... amazing rom tho... went back to fresh 2.1.2 for a second...... couldnt do it... zen feels like a completely different phone

Rofl!

That was my thought as well. I've tried a lot of different ROM's and this is the only one to last more than a day on my phone.

I was having problems getting mms messages and found that if I turned the Wifi off the pic would download just fine. If i get a mms while on wifi I just have to turn it off for a sec...not a really big deal for me...love Zen

I've had to do it this way since I first got the phone. GREAT reminder for everyone!

Where is this .3 update that everyone is talking about? The ROM that I installed is ZenEXP-0.9.6.2OC Toasted: ROM and Update for ZenEXP-0.9.6.2.

If you flashed the update for ZenEXP-0.9.6.2, you are now using the .3 update. To confirm, go to your apps drawer, and open zenupdater. It will show the verson # you are using at the top.

I have noticed since I have switched from fresh 2.1.2 to Zen I haven't had full signal. Most of the time i only have one or two bars. Any suggestions?

Yeah, I've been having that problem as well. I just checked my network and I show 9% of the time without signal, and I was no where new today (work and home only). Oh well.
