no dice.


the only error twrp brings back is "failed" no error code or anything specific


manually swapped the apk (and changed permissions)
manually swapped the apn-confs.xml (and changed permissions)

the other stuff is just for the recovery, right? anyway i rebooted and i see no mms in the app drawer at all.

think i know whats wrong... thanks for testing... will push out another zip soon..
 
Not sure if it would work honestly...The fix is for JB...the ROM is ics...the JB one works pretty good to be honest though...

I flashed the latest zip file last night, but for some reason I got stuck on the boot animation and ended up having to do a battery pull. I did a factory reset and then flashed CM10 gangnam again, and then flashed the MMS fix and it worked perfectly.

I tried flashing the zip file for the inverted version and it failed with the following error in 4EXT recovery.log file:
Opening update package...
minzip: Incompatible "version made by": 0x0b (at 13)
E:Can't open /sdcard/AllUpdates/Jelly Bean/InvertedMMS with MmsFix+cache.zip
(bad)
Installation aborted.

That looked like a problem with the zip format so I unzipped it and rezipped with WinZip and the file (attached) seems to flash OK.

so what exactly causes this mms problem?

is it the lack of htc sense?

is it the mms apk itself?

or the apn settings?


or all 3?
 
Out of curiosity- what exactly caused the problem in the first place other than the APN? And also what version of MIUI is the one in the OP for? (ICS or JB?)
 
also, this is happening:

i receive a pic msg and mms.apk shows the sender and myself in the top left like its a group msg. when i send a msg back i also receive a duplicate copy of that msg.

i'll post a screenshot
 
Thanks for the fix. Everything work smoothly on pacman ROM. Only thing that is not working is that I do not receive iPhone group messages. I know iPhones utilize MMS for group texting. I don't know if its due to the way VM handles those types of MMS or that the MMS.apk is not reading it right.

It shows that it is downloaded, but the message is blank

That has to do with VM.
