Root zipping back ups

alright guys, quick question for you guys.if im using my backup root,or any other app like, and i make a bkup of my apps+data, now when i zip them up,how do i make sure that in that zip i created, everything is in it?my prob is im running out of storage,so i figured that if i zip my bkups,i can delete the bkups and keep the zips since it changes the size and gives me more space, now if im doing it wrong and there is a diff and safer way, please point me in the right direction!! and the whole bkup thing, should i just store them(apps+data) on my external harddrive and not on the device?i prob should just keep the recovery bkups on the device at all times,so if i have a prob, then i could go to them, and then just get the apps bkup from comp?is this correct,or am i wrong? THANK YOU ALL for any input!!!!

1) Don't back up what you can get another way - free apps, for instance.

2) ALWAYS keep a backup on at least TWO different devices. One of them is always going to fail. Then you have the second backup to back up to the replaced device.

3) Zip programs have a test function - to test the entire zip file for integrity. Use it right after making the zip.

Thank you, i was just wondering how to make sure wat i zipped is in there, but i took a chance n cleaned the space, i think it will b ok. Thanks again
