Awesome! Totally going to get it.
Do you know when it will exactly be here?

Any idea of the ram. Seems like a bigger motion or a connect with ics. But I'm sure I'd have the same chip the motion has and not the one the connect has.

I guess with only 2.39 G on-board user memory it'll have a SD slot right? Anyone know if it comes with one and how large?

**Ok, I need some help here all you Obi Wans.** :D It looks like I need to be making some decisions fairly quickly here.

How does this compare to the Motion? Which would you get for the same $?

Re; the soon to end $55 plan. Can I pay for the first month without activating a phone if I do it before 1/3? Or do I have to activate the phone by that date?

Can I activate with a new number and port my old number over later on?

Thank you in advance,

Bruce in Ocala, FL-soon to be a official resident of the Metro asylum :D

Some companies you can port your number after the fact not sure about metro.

No clue about the phone though. Looks like a motion with a bigger screen.

Are you not with metro currently?

No not with Metro yet but need to be signed on, phone or not before the $55 ends.

Thanks Fuzzy,

Are you dead set on Metro? Being that you are wanting to buy a new phone and you want the unlimited $55 plan, have you considered the other options besides metro? Not sure what's offered in your area, but being that your looking at this particular phone I assume you are on a budget so i would figure you would want the most for you money. Just curious if you've conisdered other options being that your wanting to sign up somehwere new?

I won't discuss it here as people tend to get butt hurt when their previous metro service is called into question so PM me if you wanna talk further about it in detail.

Regardless, if you are dead set on metro and you are on a budget, depending on the price of this phone it could be a better deal that the Motion mainly because it has the screen size the Motion lacks. BUT, if they come out with some crazy ass price then you would be better off going with the Motion. I can't see this zte phone being more than $249 and that's at the utter most.

Lol butt hurt that was funny you know some of us love metro and as much as straight talk or tmobile pre paid looks better and might be cheaper we stay put I'm not loyal to metro I'm just happy with what I get In return and in the end metro is basically tmobile so is like I'm getting best money for my service

Haha. Nah, i was talking about the kids that are irrational and make baseless statements. I'd say the same thing in another carrier forum cause all carriers have them. Nothing to do with enjoying your service. The man needs answers and options.

Yes, yes he does...:(

Fuzzy, yes I am aware of the plans most of the carriers have. Your ST isn't good for me as I use too much data. Metro is strong in this geo area here. There really isn't anyone who comes close to their prices IF the signal is good enough for you. (IMO)

I don't have st. I'm hopping around trying to find the best for my money. Perks of gsm i guess.

I ask the questions because there has been plenty of times i wish someone would have asked me certain things, aside from this subject in particular, to broaden my horizon on said subject. I'm just getting an overall perspective to offer the best advice possible. Unlike the children here that have no clue and throw out baseless remarks.

Well, I smell Metro hosing me over on this phone. I can see it coming.

I will probably buy it and activate it IF one actually becomes available BEFORE 7 PM the day after Christmas. That is as late as I can order a Motion from Wirefly for $139 and it get here in time for me to activate under the soon to die $55 plan.

Getting the $55 plan is more important to me than an unknown phone with a 1/2" bigger screen.

So Metro, the ball is in your court. Show Me The Damn Phone and you got a sale. Play around til after next Wednesday on it and the purchase is off.

'Sup to you.

[EDIT] Well, Metro, I guess you get a few more days til the end of next week. Wirefly charges $8 for 2 day shipping for non-contract phones. That get's the $ difference down to $12, for that much, I'll just get the Motion from Metro if I have to. Of course, watch every store anywhere near here sell OUT of Motions between now and then.

Unless you REALLY want that extra half inch of screen I'd just go with a Motion, ZTE phones aren't exactly top of the line and while specs can technically be the same we don't know for example who the processor maker is.

Not quite sure about the other questions, though I have a feeling the answers are going to be no.

Also I'd be surprised if Metro stores were selling the Motion for the same price as listed on the website, usually they all have a higher price.

Well, the local stores in town are clueless, "next week sometime". It seemed like they couldn't care less.

The Corporate store says they will have them for sale today or tomorrow, that's in Gainesville, 35 miles North of here. Nice girl said she'd call me when they were For Sale.

I'd sure like to hear from some of our more knowledgeable here if they get their furry paws on one before then.

I got a VM from the girl at the Corporate store in Gainesville, Fl and they have and are selling the Avid now. She said they had 10 of them and sounded like she expected them to go quickly.

I'm still waiting to hear from our contacts here once they play with one. I AM going to call the G-ville store and see if per chance they have both a Motion and an Avid powered up. THAT *might* get me to drive the 35 miles up there. I'd be surprised though if they have working demos of both phones.

I will probably need a pretty glowing report on the Avid to steer me away from the motion.
