Help ZTE - Boost Mobile Warp Online Upgrade Tool

i tried ota update said i was up to date used the online update tool got the update but had to restore all my data and programs from my backup files

I tried this, but it didn't work.. I went to my apps, then went to the home screen like it said and waited 10 minutes for it to update. Also I tried downloading the latest market apk but that didnt help either :S

In the upper left of the home screen, you don't by chance have a "Notification' waiting to be "flicked' down to read informing you of an update to the Market app do you? One that has an "Update' button contained within?

No :s

edit: my current market version installed is 3.4.4.. though it feels like I'm using the froyo market instead of the new one that comes when you first get the warp

Well, if you like the newer one, there ya go. Doesn't get any newer than 3.4.4. :p

oops.. :o Well I assumed that the older one was the newer one because the newer one looked like it was simpler graphics wise while the older one had a nice green graphic on the home page

MyBackup < First three choices, fittingly indicated by the red and white lifesaver icon.

Your apps and data will be wiped from the phone during the update process. Use MyBackup(or other) to restore after updating.

DO NOT use the above update on any other phone other than a ZTE Warp.

Yes, Boost lags in what Sprint offers.

4G. See above. It doesn't work on Boost. 3G or bust on Boost.

My phone is obviously a BoostMobile ZTE Warp.

Thanks godraw for the information that i somehow missed when i first started reading this post. i read Boost Update and for whatever reason i wasn't seeing that it is phone specific and not OS or whatever it is called on smartphones

Much of my mind set was rooted in a world away mentality about what a "cell phone" does. i opened myself up to that "smartphone" world in August of this year. Liked Boosts shrinkage plan, went in to see about it, spent over and hour listening to the owner/sales guy He and the technology enlightened me to all that i was unaware existed mostly because "the cell phone" did everything that i wanted to do and then some. How funny is that?

In any event, i jumped into Boost and smartphone all at the same time. As smart as the phone is i still need HB's to communicate with about all that there is to know. Androidforums.com has helped me understand most anything i need to know.

So once again thanks for clearing up this issue in a few lines.

My questions and answers are always longer than they should be. I suffer from "runaway mind" Thank G for the art i do as a release. And thank androidforums.com for an equivalent share.:D

I updated my post #1 here to reflect that I've rar'd the Update exe and pdf that were available for download on ZTE's website. I put them available on MultiUpload should they be needed.

Since I'm still force closing, I called Boost. Again. They said they'd transfer me to tech support, but transferred me to Sprint, who transferred me BACK to the main Boost vm, so I could go through the prompts. Again.
Tech support said I had to talk to ZTE, and gave me their number. Again.
ZTE, at first, wanted to transfer me back to Boost, then finally understood me. They said it was a software problem and I should upgrade. I told them I already did.
Then they said they'd email me a label to send the phone to them, and they would either fix it or replace it.
I asked then to send me a new phone, and upon receipt I would send back the old one, so I am not without a phone for weeks while they fix THEIR problem. Of course, the young lass said they would not do that.
So I asked her what was wrong with the phone. She said they couldn't tell until they looked at it. I reminded her that her company swore it was a software issue that would be fixed by the upgrade. Since they were wrong with that, and since many people were having the problem, what direction were they looking toward now for a solution.
She didn't understand me.

If you root it immediately after u update...then it seems your market gets stuck on the froyo version. If your patient it will update....however if you already did root and you r stuck you can click to page 1 of this thread and download it to your phone using the link provided by godraw. I can confirm it works 100%.

Updated my first post here to include link to OTA RootKeeper for those of you that may find it useful.

Go on youtube and search for knoxville365's video "how to root zte warp after B08c update". Thats how I rooted mine after the update.
