Help ZTE Flash N9500 bricked....HELP HELP

I had live bootable cd.. but i had bad experience wid that... my little sister booted then you see it create an setup installer on desktop... she thought ubuntu is nice and she just setup it and all my partition everything got f**ked up :d.. lol damm.. i broke that cd into 12 pieces..

My phone is a waste of my time now.... I have thrown in the towel. I did back up, flashing, adb, fastboot I have tried everything....except throwing it out my window while driving 80mph on the freeway. Or frying it. SInce i got a new one Ill just worry about not doing the same mistake. Thank you guys for the help.

Instead throwing, Ship it to me .... :D

I m serious.... let me play wid it.. if its done i will ship back to you.. what say?

you ever try installing windows 2000 on a pc formatted by xp? thats all kinds of fun. doesnt even ask, it starts formatting as soon as you hit f8 to agree to terms. pissed me right off. ive lost so much data over thr years, terrabytes of stuff. but i always manage to get more

Lol.. I have not tried... but thats possible may be bcoz of partition difference ntfs and fat... hahaha... but 2000 is downgrade for xp?

vasically 2000 is kind of a downgrade. it uses ntfs but a slightly different version apparently. xp can use 2000 ntfs but it doesnt go both ways

Yes.. i remember.. 2000 is kinda more secure and ntfs partition is good if you really need to use proper admin rights..

Yes its true... but i use to like 98 very much... resource hacker.. and shell32 editing... start click button change.. it was fun.. ;)

yea now they take measures to insure you cant screw something up... but what if i want to screw something up? did ya ever think about that microsoft?

OK - I am setting up a VM for Ubuntu. Tell me what I need to do next (assuming I already have the phone set up to communicate with VMware)

probably wont help but have fun... of windows cant communicate with the phone, i dont think an os running in a program in windows can either. since youve already got it set up get into fastboot and try it out but if it doesnt work that may be why

i need some help i have this phone and accidentley erased a main system app now i cant boot up the screen goes blank i can get into ftm mode and recovery hard reset mode what should i do/

this is more an all things root question. i am not sure whether this phone has working fastboot or not. you might be screwed my friend, always install cwm and make a backup before modifying system and check around the all things root section see if it can be done through fastboot, if not you may never be able to fix it

Talked to junkie2100 earlier. We have been working on a ZTE Unbrick Tool. It should get CWM installed so you can flash roms. This is a very early release and is by no means finished. In fact I put it together for you and your current situation. It is an iso image that you need to burn to a cd or use to make a bootable usb drive. Once you have the bootable media created, boot your pc to it. You may need to adjust your pc boot order in the bios to get it to boot.

Once you get it booted on your pc, put your device in DFU mode by holding both vol up and vol down along with power. Plug in your device, click the green android icon on the desktop, press ok or enter on the password prompt, type "gordon" which is the codename for your device (you will see a chart) and press enter. Confirm with "y" then press enter, and wait. Let us know how it goes.

One more thing I purchased a ZTE Awe theres just one thing I didn't do a backup before I rooted it. And I rooted it than did a backup realizing that that's not how your supposed to do it I want to erase the backup files but I dont know if that's safe what should I do???

I need too know if thats safe because I want to unroot the phone and start over fresh the right way then root it.
