Help ZTE Flash N9500 bricked....HELP HELP

Should I do nothing and do a factory reset? Please help I feel like I might have ruined a brand new phone

There is nothing wrong with rooting and then backing up. Is the phone working? Anyway, you should post in the awe forums for awe support.

Regarding the unbricking of your ZTE Flash, any luck?

You can delete backups stored on your sdcard any time you like. I would not recommend unrooting unless you know what you are doing. If you choose to attempt unrooting, i would suggest keeping the backup until you are sure everything is good. Why unroot anyway?

edit: if you want to return your ZTE Awe to complete stock, the easiest and most reliable way would be to follow the instructions in this post
 
well the USB 8gb flash drive I borrowed will not format so I just tried to boot from the Iso in my friends older Pentium D dual core Dell GX620.
I am getting an error that the "Your device was not detected. Press ENTER to Exit"

I tried the phone in "DFU mode by holding both vol up and vol down along with power" and recovery mode, restarting the iso with the phone already in download mode and plugged into the usb.
my friend was thinking maybe I need to "click" somewhere in linux and mount or ??? to get it to detect the phone???

Seems like zte 8960's don't work the same as 8930's. If we figure something out I will post.

Talked to junkie2100 earlier. We have been working on a ZTE Unbrick Tool. It should get CWM installed so you can flash roms. This is a very early release and is by no means finished. In fact I put it together for you and your current situation. It is an iso image that you need to burn to a cd or use to make a bootable usb drive. Once you have the bootable media created, boot your pc to it. You may need to adjust your pc boot order in the bios to get it to boot.

Once you get it booted on your pc, put your device in DFU mode by holding both vol up and vol down along with power. Plug in your device, click the green android icon on the desktop, press ok or enter on the password prompt, type "gordon" which is the codename for your device (you will see a chart) and press enter. Confirm with "y" then press enter, and wait. Let us know how it goes.

I'm trying to unbrick my ZTE Flash N9500 with this tool, but password is wrong, please help me !!

The password is "root" without quotes. However, it is unlikely the tool will work for you. It was originally designed for msm8930 devices, and the flash is an msm8960. Apparently msm8960 zte devices do not mount as block devices the way msm8930's do. When you run the tool it will probably tell you your device was not detected...same as RCAIN1 above. If we find another way i will post back.
 
After I read this post Felix the cat and you posted was I supposed to type gordan in as the password or root like you said in this post? Please get back at me thank you.

Root is the password, gordon is the codename for the device.
 
Yes, I opened tool with 'root' passwd, then I put my ZTE Flash in DFU mode (vol down+vol up+pwr). I used 'gordon' for codename but my device was not detected...

I know im not in the right thread but..... I was wondering supers how or what do I do to go about flashing CWM when I try it says that my device is not listed is there anyother way to do it? Is CWM worthless to ZTE?

You will need to setup the windows drivers for your device and your device needs to be rooted to install cwm.

CWM works on the flash and all other zte's i have encountered so far. You just need a version made for your device...which you have available.
 
Lol I have CWM pro I and all my drivers are good I just cant get it to recovery from the CWM app on my phone having troubles

Because no matter how clearly the OP specifies ZTE FLASH ***N9500***!!! NOT THE SONATA OR ANY OTHER MODEL!!@!@!@! in the subject line, there's guaranteed to be more posts about every other ZTE model in the thread anyway. At least his post was about the right phone for once.

I swear, it's like going to a car forum to ask about a 2014 Mustang engine problem and having every third reply be "Well, it's not quite the same, but here's how I fixed the burnt out taillight on my AMC Gremlin..."
 
Hi :) .can I use fastboot to flash cwm to my zte flash ? And if so how? (I saw ur post about using cmd prompt but I'm still a novice and fastboot seems easier...)
