ZTE Stock Email App

Hi.
For the most part, I haven't needed to post anything b/c I've been successful at finding info on the ZTE Forum so far. Thanks to this forum I was able to to root.
Thereafter installed Titanium Backup. I backed up the Stock ZTE email APP that I used to get my yahoo, hotmail, etc. I then uninstalled it with Titanium, thinking I could load an old email APP I had from my Prevail, which I liked better. Well needless to say it would not bring the old email app from backup (other software worked). And now I can't bring back the Stock ZTE email App (which was backed up too). And since the uninstall of the Stock ZTE email App, my camera App force closes everytime.

Any suggestions??
Thanks!!!

That's why I won't root this phone. Too many issues come with it. At least got now . Lol. Sorry I cant help. If I find something I will re-post.

If you're rooted and the email application is in your system app folder but not working (check that it and the corresponding odex file are there) then try fixing permissions with CWM. If you don't have both files here they are. Unzip them then copy and paste to your system/ app folder using something like root explorer then manually set the permissions and if that doesn't work after a reboot then try fixing permissions with CWM.

Doesn't the Camera app have something to do with Email, or vice-versa? Whatever the case, if you can just get familiar with something better (K9) I would say you should.

YES it does! And I learned the hard way. I installed K-9, but that didn't help bring back the Camera App, wich continued to force close.

Thanks for the suggestion and link!
I was able to find something from another user (in ALL Things Root section) and it reinstalled the email app thru CWM. So, now my camera app works again. Unfortunately, it changed the boot animation from Boost to just a plain Android. Funny b/c the message never said anything about anything but getting the email app back on board.

The stock email and camera apps share bootclass paths therefore if you remove one or the other then neither will work, removing both all together and adding in a new camera app will work fine.

Or re-adding both will cause them to start working again as well, but you have to do a dalvik-cache wipe in order for them to start working again
