Root ZTE Twitter statement

It was a link to the tweet where ZTE made this statement. This not a dl link. Statement is still there I just checked scroll down to find the tweet I promise you it is there. Tweet starts @RoberTech_ is about 22nd or 23rd tweet down.

I know that's right just wonder why that info has not been made public by ZTE this is big news for them you would think they would be shouting this from the rooftops by now.

I'm sure they will, in fact i'm counting on it. I'm sure it will help a lot of Devs put out and finish some SWEET ROMS for us at least we have a time frame now of sometime between April and March though it wouldn't shock me if we found out they used a DEVS hard work to pull this off.

yea i wanna have cm10 fully working by the time they can release it, so we can all just sit back and laugh at them like dude we have that already... and ours is better :P lol

We are all (on this thread), rooted, and enjoying Awesome Android, or Shinjitsu, and we have all those ROMs backed up with nandroids, on our sd-cards.

Would it be "best", to then take that sweet Sequent all the way back to locked stock, to get the update, then start over by rooting, and adding app's etc.?

Little confused about this, because I found my rooted-stock, had "apparently" been upgraded, some time after purchase, leading me to think, upgrades were going to occur without any help from me.

That was way back, months ago, I was a raw newbie (now I know enough to do real damage because of getting slack), and two custom ROM's ago, so, it's pretty hard to remember what the upgrade actually was. Was it the stock rom, being upgraded? Was it an APP, I'd bought, getting an auto-upgrade? Don't know.

Open to good ideas on this one.

You can always re-root n re-install CWM Touch if you "Choose" to update right? Not that you would want anything stock ZTE anyways lol just saying.Personally I would rather have CM10 as opposed to STOCK ZTE Jelly Bean.

They must have gotten a little more leeway with boost this time around. With the warp, we were told their contract states no upgrades.
But hey, we got jb :p

@DimBulb sounds like an OTA update similar to the one we got for B09 is what happened there. If you were getting app update you would see a Google play store icon up in your notifications tray but to my knowledge only apps have the auto-update option Whereas you have to manually initiate the OTA download. If I am wrong in my assumptions please feel free to correct me any and everyone. I'm no expert by any means but, thought I'd offer my thoughts on that

Yea me too, just crossing the T's, and dotting the I's, cause I want to know how, even if I don't use it. I mean, I've got three nandroids, and then there's a stock-er to possibly use, the rat on the wheel in my brain, say's more, gotta get more, won't be done till I've got ALL of them.

technically, you arent guaranteed to be able to root or install cwm ever again if you use an update, though the chances are slim they will disable any means of rooting and/or installing a custom recovery, it is possible to do so

I doubt that would happen. They would need a locked bootloader like HTC's hboot. Or completely redo the partitions and file formats.

right, like i said its POSSIBLE, just as me meeting aliens with the power to see the future who give me next weeks winning lottery numbers is technically possible, dont see it happening tho

The only reason i believe it could be possible is because zte always dodged questions regarding the warp n860 and would always give bs explanations. Where as with the sequent they actually put it out as its gonna happen. Like i said before the sequent and s2 are boosts flagship phones no reason they won't get updated. Nothing new coming this year....

I'm just glad there are developers here (like yourself) who can make this phone top of the chain before needing to wait on ZTE update. Stock phone has too much JUNK (bloatware). A few good ideas (VTT & Voice dialer/command)... Mostly extra junk. FaceBook, Twitter, boost zone can be accessed with a decent browser... Just take a min and make a few bookmarks! Saves RAM by avoiding extra apps
