Found something interesting. Dont know if anybody knew, or if it will be any help. I went to a terminal emulator, typed in busybox ash. Type ls. verity_key sits there at the bottom. You can cp it to wherever you want and it is accessible. Opened it up with a text editor and it just looks like chinese text.

On b08 here, kingroot has been at 24% for the past 15-20 minutes. It isnt frozen, the animation is still spinning.

ok downloaded c180 and it still doesn't work fails at 70% do you think its because I'm on b08?   My android security patch is June 2016 maybe that's the case?

On B20 the only thing I haven't done yet is factory reset, but I'm not getting root other than a glitch screen when I let the screen shut off and turn it back on. Even then less than 10 seconds and it goes back to not being rooted.

Are you guys factory resetting/wiping after EVERY failed rooting attempt? That may bring you further. Prior rooting success with a few phones for me has rested on that very step....
